Weed is one thing NJ got right IMO. We have the best dispensary in the state near us, you order online and pick it up just like going to the drug store for medication. Super professional, clean and well organized, and the prices seem to keep dropping which is surprising (I assume volume of sales?).

I think it's just so cheap to grow and produce unlike distilling alcohol. And with scale in these large operations it's even cheaper.

Yeah, I honestly assumed the taxes here would overwhelm any lower costs due to volume, but its pretty reasonable IMO

Taxes are an extra 10% here I think. So even with buying the "high end" gummies like wyld, a $100 order still lasts me almost the whole year where as that would only be a month or two at most if I was buying booze with it.

Doesnt impact me at all as I wouldnt bother. I could actually see that making the weed I buy more expensive if enough people grew their own.

I use much more than you, but I still consider the cost negligible. And I also drink a lot less since I started using weed more, which has resulted in a better mood, and my abs pop more lmao

I don’t know how much of an impact it would be on the price. Would it have the same effect as home brew has on alcohol sales? Growing and processing good weed is an art and wouldn’t be worth it for a user like WGB who can make $100 worth of product last a year. At my peak usage, my dispensery bill can be as high as $200-$300 a month, though I am fresh off a 45+ day tolerance break so my usage is lower right now. Medical in Pa isn’t taxed, so that helps me too.

I dunno. Again, I dont mind the cost and wouldnt bother, so it doesnt matter to me much. I do feel a lot more people would grow weed than brew alcohol, but maybe thats wrong.

I still drink, but much less. Less than half id say. The health and mood benefits of even cutting back are huge. For example, standing next to a sloppy rando like @Diehardfan, I probably look like a statue of a greek god.

I think more people would casually grow in their back yard, or even indoors, but an enthusiast or a heavy user to go through the hassle of processing flower into concentrates and edibles. I’ve done it with flower to keep costs down, but it’s hard to gauge potency and dosage. It’s more efficient and less of a hassle to buy concentrates that don’t need decarbed, like RSO or distillate, and infuse chocolate or honey. I’ve made some decent gummies, but they more of a PITA. I could be wrong too.

I just pack a bowl lmao and get high lol. Dispensary weed is pretty strong nowadays.

As for edibles, I order them from out of state here and there as you can get much stronger stuff, but only use those occasionally.

Even after a tolerance break, I have to smoke too much flower to feel it. It is also illegal to smoke flower in PA on a medical card. I thought about getting a decent flower vape, but I’m trying to cut out vaping too. It wouldn’t be worth the cost.

I dont like vaping. And my tolerance is kind of high, as I smoke most days, but not so high I need to go over the top to enjoy myself. If I couldnt get bud I probably would just stick with edibles, but I prefer flower 100 percent to anything else.

You can vape flower, but you can’t combust it. If you’re caught combusting it, you can be charged with possession. I think the thought is that combusting is much more harmful than vaping, and would negate any medical benefit.

they process the flower differently in PA to get around that i believe. i buy flower all of the time in the dispensary.
