Did anybody see the game against USC yesterday.  This guy is a beast.  Goeddert is getting older and losing more time to injury.  Warren caught 17 balls yesterday and almost single handedly won the game for the Nittany Lions.  He'd be a great addition to the team in what looks like a future area of need.

Haha I knew a Warren thread would pop up after that monster game he had!

He's got great size (6'6" 255 lbs) and obviously can play.  Would be a solid pick on day 2 or early day 3.

Monster numbers no doubt and I'll def look out for him moving forward but I feel USC hasn't tried to play defense since Vince Young 😂😂😅😅

PSU sucks

PSU seems to manage producing a TE prospect almost evey season. Warren appears to be this (2025) draft's candidate.

His play last week almost looked super-human, or at least in a class of his own.

I just wonder if his coachs were just showcasing him for NFL scouts.

At any rate, I'll be rooting to see him wearing midnight/kelly green next season...I just hope it won't take a late 1st round selection to land him if he maintains his high level of play.

Worst draft ever! We need a TE though.

BTW, PFF now lists Warren as the 2nd best TE prospect in next year's NFL draft.

Well, maybe...if you removed Tyler from the roster.

The Eagles seem to whiff on OT's that aren't drafted high in the first round or elsewhere in the draft.  If Milum is a generational talent, I doubt he slips to 18

He’s played both sides and is a pretty good zone run blocker, so not one-dimensional like Dillard. That said, he hasn’t given up a sack in a couple seasons either.

DE rd 1, TE rd 2.  That's as Howie as it gets

FWIW,

Alot can happen in the next 6 months before the draft (W/L, trades, FA, scouting, interviews, testing, etc.).

DE appears to be the "crying need" at this moment. TE might become a close second next April.

Both positions appear to be excellent with respect to quantity/quality prosects in 2025.

If both are deemed important priorities, Howie's work will be cut out for him.

Of course, losing valuable players to free agency might alter and add to the Eagles' needs.

Especially if Lane is back next year.

Don't know if he's the guy or not but we we will be drafting Dallas's replacement..he's hurt again...might not be

anything to miss time but listed as questionable

The tight-end position depth urgently needs to be upgraded - no question.

Per CBS Sports:

Hunter, Miami's Cam Ward and Boise State's Ashton Jeanty have dominated the Heisman Trophy thus far. Deservedly so; all three are very special players that have single-handedly won games for their respective teams this year. While he won't win this sport's most illustrious individual award, Penn State tight end Tyler Warren deserves a spot in New York by year's end.

Warren may not play on both sides of the ball like Hunter, but he's as versatile. Penn State offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki has moved Warren all over the field. Warren has excelled in every single spot, be it as an in-line tight end or a wildcat quarterback.

In No. 4 Penn State's 49-10 win against Purdue, Warren stuffed the stat sheet with eight catches for 127 yards and one touchdown and three rushes for 63 yards and another touchdown. His 48-yard rushing touchdown came off of a direct snap. He's the first FBS tight end since 2000 with 5

He's also the first tight end since 2016 with at least five touchdowns receiving and four touchdowns rushing in a single season, and Penn State still has two games left. Warren's a unicorn. It's clear that Penn State runs its offense through him and he more than makes up for the team's lack of playmakers elsewhere.

He's the most important player on the field for a College Football Playoff team and he does stuff that we don't see other athletes do on a weekly basis. Sounds like the perfect candidate for a Heisman finalist spot.

0-plus yards rushing with one or more touchdowns rushing and 100-plus yards receiving with one or more touchdowns through the air.

BTW: Purdue has a sophomore TE named Max Klare who was impressive.

P.S. One sportscaster during Saturday's contest with Purdue described Tyler as "top 20 pick" next April.

"or elsewhere in the draft" - Dickerson and Jurgens were also successful picks who were not drafted relatively high in the first round.  Tyler Steen also looks to be a successful pick.

Same could have been said about cornerbacks until this past draft

Tight Ends rarely are targeted early (see Brock Bowers #13 and Kyle Pitts #4). They are universally described as "can't miss".  Same could be said of Warren.

I would definitely be interested in Warren good blocker solid player.

I kind of expect Warren's combine or pro day performance to effect how early he goes. If he tests like other recent freakish Penn State players, he'll go pretty early. If he's middle of the pack in testing, he could slip more than expected. Most teams probably have no plans for a swiss army knife and will view him solely as a TE in their system.

I've seen him go in the 1str round in early mocks, and if so, I want no part of it.  There's no need to draft a TE in the 1st.  Since Goedert has been out (and even with him in), the position just doesn't have the value to justify someone in the 1st. in this offense with Hurts at QB  I'd want someone of value in either the 2nd or 3rd, but I'd even be hesitant to draft one in the 2nd.

I agree. Need an edge rusher or RT round 1. Warren will go to another team and be the #1 or 2 option in that offense. He’d be 5 at best here.

Also - you drink your own pee
