October 26, 20241 yr He's great- except he can't catch a football. Rock hands. Was the same way in college. Dude CANNOT catch a football. He'll get a ton of pass breakups, but he won't get picks.

October 28, 20241 yr I’m not going to be negative about Mitchell. Maybe he doesn’t make a lot of INTs, but I read today Burrow had a 70 passer rating throwing at him today. The young corners are playing well.

Yeah for sure you’d like to see him come away with some INTs but first and foremost he’s making plays and he’s in the right place to break up passes or make it so the WR isn’t making the catch.
October 28, 20241 yr I am not worried about Mitchell at all. Not one bit. His primary job is to not allow offensive plays. That´s it, and he´s doing it very well. When the INTs inevitably come - and if he keeps putting himself in the right positions, they will, in bunches - we are going to have an elite player on our hands. He´s going to be a flat out stud.
October 28, 20241 yr Mitchell and DeJean are going to be our next Lito and Sheldon. They have both looked like impact players and have helped transform the secondary. Teams are going after Slay instead of Mitchell he has been that damn good

Yeah I’m not mad about it. He’s doing his thing and shutting down some pretty good receivers. He has that elite corner attitude for sure. I give Howie credit for making the pick.
October 28, 20241 yr 7 games in and he's already a top 5 lockdown CB. He's going to get All-Pro consideration if he keeps this up.
October 28, 20241 yr Our secondary has been garbage for a while, so finally having a stud corner from the draft is great, I don't care if he never catches an INT he's a great player.

October 29, 20241 yr He’s what…6’1” 200, strong, quick, and runs a 4.3 flat with agility. Of course he’s got bricks for hands. You all know the cliche. He’d have been a top 5 pick as a WR if he could catch.

It took almost 3 years for the light to truly go on for those two. Lito was a true playmaker, but up and down in terms of coverage reliability. Some highlight reel hits notwithstanding, Sheldon was very steady in coverage but less of a playmaker.

Some highlight reel hits notwithstanding, Sheldon was very steady in coverage but less of a playmaker. Lito was an All-Pro when healthy and difference making corner. Sheldon was underappreciated and a great tackler for the position. He was unlucky to not make the Pro-Bowl. If we can get an All-Pro and a Pro-Bowl calibre player out of these two, it's a pretty damn good result
October 29, 20241 yr More like Troy Vincent and Bobby Taylor. But I get it since we drafted both guys together just like Lito and Sheldon.
October 29, 20241 yr May have been a while, I dunno. But isn't it great seeing a rookie just look so competent 👏
