The Eagles are coming for YOU Chiefs!!!

I’m surprised at how calm I am about the game. I think it might be because we have Saquon Barkley on our team and if he plays to his potential then I think we will win.

I'm thinking it'll be a repeat of the NFCCG for me. I was apprehensive about the game all week leading up, but was mostly fine in the days before. Then on Sunday around 10am, I had a massive knot in my stomach. It'll probably be the same thing on Sunday.

I am confident and excited. I have a feeling that this team is different. Observing how they recovered from last year's collapse, how they have won some dominant and convincing games this year as opposed to so many ugly/close wins last year, and seeing the defense go essentially from worst to first, a great offseason, rookie contributions, it's been a fun ride.

I hate the Chiefs. Not because they win, the Patriots won a lot too. I hate Mahomes and his smug, bratty, spoiled, entitled attitude, his flopping and dramatics and whining for refs calls. I hate that Reid failed here, learned from his mistakes and then went to a team that got an elite QB and he hired stronger coordinators and has a GM that picks the players. He's getting to do what we should have experienced when he coached here. I hate the favoritism from the refs.

I want the Eagles to dominate on Sunday. I'll take a win by any means. But I want a statement, that the Eagles are the better team. Dan Patrick was on Rich Eisen's show and said how the Eagles are the better team overall, but have the edge at QB and Coach. He said the Eagles as a team are better and should win...but he won't bet against Patrick Mahomes. He said if the Eagles win will would have to be a fluke, a tipped pass, something like that.

I don't want that kind of asterisk. I want to see them dominate. Tampa did it to them and it was a 31-9 game. I want our defense to make a statement. I want Barkley to run all over them and score multiple TDs. I want to win by 3 scores. I want a statement.

Re-watching the Bucs-Chiefs Super Bowl. The Bucs D line got pressure the whole game, kept Mahomes back pedaling and running for his life. They were held to 3 field goals. The secondary also blanketed their receivers. Hoping Fangio and his defense have the same approach. Don't give them anything.

If I recall, both Chiefs tackles were out that game. I would love that kind of rout though.

I’m as confident as I’ve ever been about a big game. 

I think we win by at least 2 scores.  Remember the last Super Bowl, it could’ve gone that way if not for the Hurts fumble. If Seumalo doesn’t get a penalty on 3rd and 1, Hurts probably gets the 1st down on the tush push, but in the very least KC doesn’t score on the fumble return. 
 

 

Eagles bring their "A" game they will blow out KC. Don't think it will even be close. The Birds D has been getting better and peaking. Saquan is crazy great and they have weapons everywhere on offense. Even if KC brings their "A" game it should be an easy win as long as the Birds bring theirs.

You guys keep referring to the Tampa game are in for a disappointment. First off Mahomes was not a good quarterback at that point. He basically ran around and waited for Hill to get open. He tried to dictate to the defense instead of taking what was available. Play deep safety and crush him with the rush. He doesn’t play like that anymore.

Secondly while the line isn’t spectacular this year, we had lost 3/4 of it and were down to third string lineman that had barely started in the NFL. This line has been better as of late. He will get rid of it quickly. Lot of screen passes and sweeps. Have seen fast tempo as of late to slow the rush down. 
 

The team that lost to Tampa had little for defense. This is a fast, well coached defense. We haven’t been blown out in a playoff game since then. Your last game you got a lot of gifts. This game will be close.

He won MVP was an all pro and led the league in touchdown passes before that season but he wasn't a good QB then?

Correct. He was a one trick pony. Once teams took away the deep threat he kept trying to force it. Not paying Hill was the best thing the Chiefs did. The last two superbowl wins were Kelce and a collection of misfits. It has forced him into taking what is given.
