ManchesterEagle Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Who are your top 5 currently? For me; 1) McNabb - definitely had his faults, but we had sustained success with him for a long time. 2) Foles - difficult to rank. Brought us our only Super Bowl and had 3 incredible spells. 10 games in regular season in 2023. That magical playoff run and then saving our season in 2018. But never played more than 10 regular season games. 3) Hurts. For me he moves to 1 if he plays well in 2 weeks and we win. 4) Cunningham. Incredible talent. But badly coached and oline was horrific. Only one playoff win. 5) Jaws
time2rock Posted January 27 Posted January 27 1) Bubby Brister 2) Brad Goebel 3) Bobby Hoying 4) Jeff Kemp 5) Ken O'Brien 1 5

Foles 5. Jaws 2 & 3 was the closest for me, I could switch them, but I think hurts is better in big moments 1

He could never stay healthy and was pretty bad everywhere else he went.

Aerolithe_Lion Posted January 27 Posted January 27 1. Mcnabb - 11 years, 5 NFCCG, 6 pro bowls 2. Hurts - 5 years, 46-20 record, 5 playoff wins, All-Pro, 2 NFCCG wins. If Hurts wins 1 more game this season he’s #1 3. Cunningham - Multiple All-Pros, Multiple MVP runner-ups, 63-43 as starter, 2 playoff wins 4. Foles - 21-11, 4 playoff wins, SB champion, pro bowler. Ranking difficult, but limited by being an occasional starter over 5 seasons. Feels weird that he makes our QB Mount Rushmore, but at least we have a better list than Chicago. 5. Jaworski - 69-67 as starter, Pro Bowler, NFC champion Van Brocklin is our lone league MVP, but he started even less games for us than Foles. He was a rental, not an Eagles legend 2 1
jsdarkstar Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Foles - SB Champion over Tom Brady Van Brocklin - 1960 Champion over vince lombardi and the Green Bay Packers. Hurts - Could move to # 1 with a victory over the Chiefs. McNabb - SB loss Jaws - SB Loss 2
toolg Posted January 27 Posted January 27 McNabb, Cunningham, Jaworski are 3.... Hurts is quickly playing his way into the group. He is starting in his second Super Bowl game at QB for the Eagles. Nobody else has done that. Assuming he plays out his contract he is on the list. 5 is tough. If it's Vick, does his time on the Falcons count? Or only his stint on the Eagles? If you say Foles because he won the Super Bowl, would you go back and consider Van Brocklin? He arguably had a better career. Going back even further, Tommy Thompson? Statistically, could it be Wentz? If I have to pick, I consider the rest of their careers and choose Vick. Then my top 5 all-time Eagles QBs in no particular order are Hurts, Vick, McNabb, Cunningham, Jaws. Foles and Van Brocklin get honorable mentions for winning a championship and the accolades that came with it. But not all-timers. And an asterisk for Tommy Thompson, who played so long ago and WWII broke out in the middle of his career. I don't know how to rank him against the modern players. 1

I was working on the basis of only time with the Eagles, otherwise you could throw people like Jim McMahon and Jeff Garcia in the mix.

I think if one were making a list of most talented Eagles QB Cunningham would be at the top of the list, but as said horrible coaching, horrible O lines zero run game other than himself and his own ego really held him back. In todays wide open Spread RPO offenses with actual coaching hed be Lamar Jackson, sadly all we got was a ton of highlights and. Bunch of heartache. 1
Portyansky Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Wentz. That trade landed us Devonta and AJ plus some picks left over which i believe helped land us Carter too? (Not 100 sure on Carter)
VaBeach_Eagle Posted February 3 Posted February 3 This question depends on what your criteria would be. Total passing yards? Passer rating? Winning percentage? Post season success? How are we judging it? 1
birdman#12 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 For us old timers we have to add Pete Liske Rick Arringon Mike Boryla John Reaves 1
