Good Places to Watch the Super Bowl in/around Philly

I feel the need to be around fellow Eagles fans for the big game.  Somehow I've ended up in a situation where most of the friends I hang with aren't football fans or aren't Eagles fans (wtf, right?).

I'm thinking of XFinity Live...although I'm sure that place is gonna be bonkers/packed.  Anyone going there?

Where are some good bars to go and watch?  Most important thing is a place set up well with big TVs for decent actual viewing...then food, drinks and of course, Eagles fans!

Yeah man! I’ve booked my accommodation so just go to sort some family based logistics (kids etc) but yeah I’m very likely coming in to Philly.

Nice! We can chat in the DM too, definitely up for meeting!

Hope some folks here have some good suggestions for places to go.

The Linc will actually be open to watch the game on the jumbotron and it's free if you are looking for a game type atmosphere

That's exactly how I feel about it!  Do you know if you can call ahead and reserve a table somewhere there?

One person I know who went back during the 2017 SB said he showed up at like noon to stand in line, the place opened at 2, and he was able to get a seat at the bar (amazingly).

I've never been. I'll ask my co worker who mentioned to me. I'm thinking my bro(s) may wanna roll too so might have a group so def gonna need to call ahead and/or explore backup options

I heard the Hard Rock Cafe is the hottest spot in town!

If the Eagles win (knock on wood), I think I'd take the next flight to Philly for the parade. Do you guys know which day it would take place? I know it was on Thursday 7 years ago, but I'm not sure how and when they announce it.

I've been a few times, but there were different "rules" for reservations pending if it is during a home game or not.  Not sure what they'll consider this.  The date is greyed out on their reservation link online.  That either means they didn't open it up yet or will be first come, first serve, etc.

If you find out anything, let me know...appreciate it!

I don't think they'd announce it until after they know there'd be one.  But yeah, that Thursday is prob a good bet.

Gotcha, thanks. I'll probably be monitoring Tuesday to Friday flights then.

Xfinity are selling tickets from Wednesday this week…

Will there be places in Philly that you don’t need reservations for? And will just need to turn up mega early for? Sorry but we just don’t have this problem in the UK.

Is this a reservation deal?

We don’t want to fly in from the UK and not get in anywhere that would suck!

That would. The first place we were talking about (xfinity live) I've not been and don't know if there's a reservation system. It's in the sports complex by the linc and citifield and wells Fargo center. I hear the place is huge and I'm sure it's gonna be packed for the SB. I can let you know as I get info.

The spot I linked is a backup plan if xfinity doesn't work.

This place looks good...52ft TV? Nice!  I just went through their "book a table" online reservation thing and I'm not 100% sure it's right.  When you put in a time for 2/9 date, you have to "pick an experience" and the only option is something called "cheer on the fly guys"...which is a Flyers thing.  So, not sure what that means.  But if it's right, there's zero deposit for a reservation.

Xfinity ig page says reservations open 10am wed  so def gonna make a call (doesnt mention prices) but that seems a solid backup
