You guys sure love that triggered word. It was an ahole post made by the president of the United States taking a guess at what happened less than 12 hours since the accident. The amount of words to describe his actions are hard to summarize: stupid, insensitive, knee-jerk, uninformed, etc. It doesn't take someone with "TDS" to acknowledge any of this. Get a grip.
January 30Jan 30 Trumps fault. No head of the FAA. Fired the head of the TSA. Shortage of Flight Controllers. And the Commander and Chief didn't know a military helicopter was in the flight path of a commercial airline.
January 30Jan 30 Trump fires heads of TSA, Coast Guard and guts key aviation safety advisory committee Quote The aviation security committee, which was mandated by Congress after the 1988 PanAm 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, will technically continue to exist but it won’t have any members to carry out the work of examining safety issues at airlines and airports. Before Tuesday, the group included representatives of all the key groups in the industry — including the airlines and major unions — as well as members of a group associated with the victims of the PanAm 103 bombing. The vast majority of the group’s recommendations were adopted over the years. https://apnews.com/article/coast-guard-homeland-security-priorities-committees-trump-tsa-d3e4398c8871ada8d0590859442e092c Yeah definitely Trump's fault and hence the rage tweeting

January 30Jan 30 Why on earth are they doing training exercises in the middle of the night near a busy airport?

January 30Jan 30 I've read where they train at night for familiarity, and they do frequently fly in that congested area. They are also tasked with transporting senior military officials although none were on the chopper.

January 30Jan 30 So, basically, an alleged Blackhawk pilot and trainer says that the most likely error was that the helicopter crew weren't paying attention.
