I'll add my own. I was initially pretty skeptical of the Barkley signing mostly because I didn't think investing so much in the RB position was worth it. Figured any NFL caliber RB could put up great numbers behind our line, and that's probably true, but Barkley is on another level. Happy to be wrong about that one.

I thought this was a .500 football team that stopped listening to their coach. By the Cleveland game I wanted him fired. Bad take.

Can you imagine a liberal posting something like this and actually owning up to their own mistakes?  I can't, because it has never happened.  I was very wrong about Hurts being able to drive this bus across the finish line.  He was just superb in these last 2 games, when it obviously mattered most.

Seemed like a pretty reasonable take at the time. It just looks "bad" now because it ended up being wrong.  Easy to say now in hindsight.

Even before the season I thought they were cooked mostly because of last season. After the Bucs loss I wanted Jalen benched and the coaches fired. 😂

I was right there with you on that island my friend. At 2-2 they looked lost. The Saints win whilst impressive at the time started to look like a mirage and was really a win for the defense. The Tampa heavy loss for me was the sign that Sirianni had lost the team and couldn’t get them back. I was wrong, so so wrong.

It's funny, and this is gonna look like hindsight, but I thought if we got rolling we would destroy the the league. Nobody builds defenses to stop run heavy teams. I thought if we embraced that, we could become unstoppable on offense.

The defense, particularly the secondary and linebackers, did shock me with how good they got by playoff time though.

I’ll say this… I doubted this team earlier in the season but when talking to Eagles fans over the weekend I said Eagles by 15 or more.

Before he was hired, after Gannon, I posted that I wanted nothing to do with a Fangio defense.

You weren't on your own mate.

I think during that game it seemed they were finding new ways to mess up.

Packer buddy of mine made a good observation.

Said once the Eagles get their heads out of their asses, they'd be tough to stop.

Turns out he was bang on 👍

Again, I was doubting them right up to kick off, and again my Packer buddy told me to stop talking crap and that the Eagles would win by double digits.

I should really listen to him more 😂

I said all weekend that we would. I also said if it was within a score I thought the Chiefs would win but I said we’d get it by more than 15. For a change I was right.

going into the bye I wanted the coaches head yesterday.  Felt he should have been fired in the offseason and he proved me right weeks 1-4.  We talk so much about the overall team changing after that bye, but Siri also changed.  Literally every criticism I had of him was gone.  And here we are.  Pass that crow with some el yucateco extra hot sauce

Yeah, I was worried the refs would keep it close.

Maybe all the pre game chatter - NOT from the Eagles btw - had an effect.

Didn’t look like it on that first drive hey? The PI on AJ was complete BS. It was such BS even Brady called it out. But I think we then got away with one of the next drive where Goedert really wasn’t interfered with or hit unfairly.

Nothing to report. Saw a Super Bowl blowout over KC from day 1.

Only had Barkley running for 2004 yards, so I guess I gotta eat crow about that.

When they said our O lines average size was 6'6 and 348lbs, biggest to play in The Bowl...I thought to myself, the NFL should be in catch up mode right now. While everyone is trying to build a defense to cover Justin Jefferson and stop Joe Burrow from throwing the ball all over the field, the Barkley and Hurts offense could steamroll unprepared defenses for the next couple years.

Ok, being serious now. My thoughts on Sirianni were kind of all over the place. Early in the year, I certainly wasn’t the president of his fan club, but I wasn’t leading the charge to fire him either. Going back to the Doug P hire, I found it very uninspiring at the time, it just happened to work out great for us for a season. Then he seemed to regress back to what I had initially expected him to be.

When there was talk of hiring Siri, I wasn’t necessarily excited but I was intrigued largely because he wasn’t a former head coach and he had no former ties here either. Again, we got a great season in 22 before the collapse last year. This year of course started very iffy.

The issue I had was if Sirianni was going to be fired, mid season or after, my concern was they were just going to go back to the same well of uninspiring candidates who wouldn’t rock the boat and would just be Lurie and Howie’s puppet. So that made it hard to root for Sirianni’s firing, even if I wasn’t his biggest fan.

Fortunately that never came to fruition and we won a couple big games along the way, or so I heard. 😆
