Do you think Eagles would have been a dynasty if Andy Reid didn't get fired after 2012?

Featured Replies

No, him and us needed a change, and I love Andy; it was just time to let go of each other.

The funny thing is that I think that we don't win the first one without Chip Kelly "resetting" us with the departure of Jackson and McCoy.

Everything happens for a reason and has purpose. Everything is the way it is supposed to be at this moment in time.

He let his mobility go because he was insane and Rush Limbaugh made him not be a running QB. This actually happened.

DJ and Maclin were awesome. TO was incredible and he went to war against him instead of trying to be a leader.

McNabb was so horrifically bad in AZ in that first half. They should have beaten Pittsburgh in the bowl by 13+ in 2008.

The Hank Baskett tackle is so quintessential McNabb. He's wide open running across the field and McNabb shoelaces him.

Lots of QBs won with great teams that had limited WRs but were strong in other areas.

He had a D that was incredible in 2001 and he gave the Rams the extra 7 they needed to beat that D with a fumble inside his own red zone.

McNabb had 4 picks in the SB (pick do-over pick was the 4th) and a fumble that did not count because his knee hit like 1/4 of a second before the ball was out.

He was garbage in the biggest moments.

McNabb's TD to INT

  • Regular Season: 234 117   - 2 to 1
  • Wildcard: 6 4   -  1.5 to 1
  • Divisional: 9 4  -  2.25 to 1
  • NFCCG: 6 6  -  1 to 1
  • Super Bowl: 3 3  -  1 to 1

He was 1-5 in the 6 biggest games of his life on merit.

I was specifically talking about the NFCC games before the one with TO. The wr group was trash until after him. By that time, he was so out of shape he couldn't get it done. Sure he was bad at some of the over the middle throws  but it's hard to find a qb that is excellent in every area, especially a mobile qb.

The 4th and 26 game is on YouTube. Watch what he does on a pass to the end zone AFTER 4th and 26.

So you're saying it was a 0% chance at a trophy with a better wr core in those 3 years?

I'm saying Andy built 5 teams that could have won the SB in Philly and that choke artist loser was an anchor who destroyed any chance of winning.

Swap QBs in all 6 of his final fours and the Eagles go 6-0 and then win at least a second SB

I'll agree to disagree. When your rb is essentially your only viable option, there's not much to say.

So a wide open Hank Baskett that you tackle yourself with a shoestring worm burner is not good enough to help you beat a Cardinals team that you already demolished? The Eagles pulverized both Arizona and Pittsburgh that year. The 2008 SB was theirs if the QB 5 did not play like #2 This is not opinion. Its reality. Watch all 3 games.

McNabb was Jim Kelly(18 turnovers in his 9 biggest games) level playoff garbage. His teams were always good enough, including WRs. He was the problem.

He was a 2 to 1 TD-INT guy in the regular season.

He was 15 to 8 in the divisional and wildcard

He was 9 to 9 with 4 fumbles lost in his biggest 6 games. That's over 2 turnovers per game, slightly worse than Kelly.

People who love McNabb hate reality.

I don't love Mcnabb. Funny how you can call someone's reality out when you have your heels dug into your views, right or wrong. Your opinions trump all! You can't even comprehend how much more progression there could have been with a stable group of receivers.

Like i said, I agreed to disagree with an opinion. I'm done talking to a wall.

I love Reid and I was sad to see him go. Heck, I'm always sad to see someone go. I'm of the mindset that we should draft them and they retire as Eagles. That being said, I think we needed a change, and he needed a change. Quite honestly with all that crap he was going through with his family I really expected him to take a year off, not jump right into the KC gig.

My bad. You don't love McNabb. Are you just a neutral ignorant McNabb apologist for no reason?

I don't need your reply. Our conversation is public and your foolishness gets obliterated.

AR is a good HC but never won a SB for the Eagles.  He was successful at KC, when Mahomes arrived.  Had he stayed with us, he still needed a top QB to bring home SB victory.

LOL, McNabb and the defense carried Andy and the putrid offense for years.  I'm not going to go into players he had or didn't have, as any objective fan can remember who was around then, and the circumstances those team were in going into each playoff run.  McNabb was not the reason the team lost against AZ either.  I recall our defense being atrocious that game, and once the offense took the lead after being down 19 at the half, the defense then gave up an 8 1/2 minute drive that all but sealed victory for AZ.

Lastly, T.O. is a talented crybaby that's been a distraction for every team he's played on.  That pos cried his way out of Philly because he was too dumb and took a bad contract. I have no love for Owens.
