Loved "Kill Deer Eyes" Carson. I loved his arm most of all. He reminded me of a penitent version of Jeff George. He was exciting, explosive, quixotic, and a calamity. When he was on, he was on. He could make all the throws, was athletic enough to use his legs as a weapon. I mean he had all the tools. A dream deferred.

I'll always believe that Carson getting married and having a child all during the off season. Really affected his focus on his personal/professional values. The injuries killed his reaction (he was never fast in his delivery anyway) time.

I actually think we should thank Clowney. If he had not given Wentz a concussion, Howie would not have drafted Hurts in the first place and who knows where we would have been.

Howie deserves immense credit! The value he got for Wentz was particularly impressive given the contract he had. To then go and acquire the players he did and to hit on them was huge too. That was just another masterful move by Howie and it really turned around the direction of this franchise. When Wentz said he wanted out I think most of us feared we’d be in for a struggle with a large cap hit for a player no longer on the roster.
