6’ 2 1/2’’ // 248 lbs

Ezeiruaku profiles as a designated pass rush specialist who will make his initial impact on passing downs while developing his all-around game. His polished rush moves and natural feel for attacking tackles should translate well to sub-package duties. Smart coaching staffs will maximize his effectiveness by deploying him primarily in wide-9 alignments where he can operate in space and utilize his technical skills.

His performance against top competition showed both promise and areas for growth. While he flashed impact ability with two sacks against Florida State, he'll need time to develop the functional strength and consistency required for every-down duty in the NFL. His frame limitations mean he'll likely need a specific role rather than being asked to play in multiple fronts early in his career.

What jumps off the tape most about Ezeiruaku is his technical refinement and football IQ. This isn't just an athlete playing edge rusher - this is a technician who consistently sets up offensive tackles with sophisticated rush plans. Whether it's a well-timed euro-step to create space or a sudden arm-over counter when tackles overset, Ezeiruaku approaches each snap with purpose.

The best fit for Ezeiruaku will be with teams running one-gap 3-4 schemes that can utilize him situationally while developing his complete game. His technical foundation and natural movement skills provide an intriguing base to build upon, but expectations should be managed early as he adapts to the physical demands of the NFL game.

Draft projection; late first round

Pro comparison; Yannick Ngakoue

Might be my favorite 3-4 OLB in the draft. Kinda bummed that it looks like he is likely gone now before pick 32.

34” arms, sub-7.0 3-cone, good film… pro-day this Monday 3/24.

The #Eagles are using a Top 30 visit on Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku, per source.

Ezeiruaku is one of the top EDGES in the draft, finishing 2024 with 16.5 sacks and 21 tackles for a loss

Local kid from Williamstown NJ....Another is Cambell, the LB from Alabama, he was a Timber Creek kid from Erial til his senior year

where he transferred to IMG in Florida. 2 local talents that could go in 1st rd.

Ezeiruaku is the dude I would love to have in Rd 1, but if we go by the tape I'd be surprised if he doesn't go much earlier. I can see them targeting DT which is totally stacked this year. I would love Walter Nolen, but again, I would be shocked if he's still there with the last pick in Rd 1. What I don't see them taking is OL in Rd 1 as we have Stoutland who can turn a 3rd or 4th rounder into a top guy ... there's no reason to take OL that early. I love Safety in Rd 2 or if we trade back. Sorry, I know this thread is about Ezeiruaku ... I'm just a draft nut who easily goes on rants 🙂

32 isn't exactly "early" if we were to stay put and draft an OL. Also, we do have a legit opening at the starting RG position. It wouldn't hurt to draft a guy that could beat Steen right away and play 3 or 4 full seasons on a rookie contract before needing an extension. So there is plenty of reason. We have other openings though (S and DE). I don't think we are bare at any position (we have guys that could step in now and potentially handle the job) --- so we can still get the highest guy (any position) on our draft board. I'm just not opposed to going OL first or even trading down.

With obvious exceptions.  Dillard, Driscoll (he has been serviceable but certainly not a "top guy"), Steen (still remains to be seen exactly what he is), etc.

I wouldn't be completely opposed to OL in Rd 1, I just have faith in Stout with guys outside Rd 1. I'd rather go DT or DE early. A trade back into Rd 2 for a Safety wouldn't be bad either imo ... Watts, Mukuba and Winston are all guys I'd be happy with.
