March 20Mar 20 2024 and not even close. The 2024 roster had an all time great roster. The 2017 team was excellent, but the defense was not nearly as strong, the receivers were not as good, and the running game was nowhere near the running game in 2024. That, plus the OL in 2024 was much better than in 2017. Overall, the passing game may not have been as good in 2024, but you had as many explosive plays in 2024 as in 2017, so it all balanced out.
March 20Mar 20 The 2024 team for me, their performance in the Super Bowl was just so dominant that no one can question that they were the best team in football. Not to mention that it was nice watching an Eagles game without being on the edge of my seat until the end of the game, lol.
March 20Mar 20 The only thing the 2017 team has on the 2024 team is a better Jake Elliott. Otherwise it's easily the 2024 team. Best defense in the NFL of this current century and the most talented offense in Eagles franchise history.
March 21Mar 21 2024, no doubt about it. 2017 had destiny on it's side, so many things had to go right for us to win: Nick Foles turned into Joe Montana for the last 2 games of the year An all-time risky trick play worked Tom Brady made an uncharacteristic turnover late in the game And the Pats still had an unlikely chance to tie the game at the end 2024 was just a flat out Juggernaut. Beat the crap out of a dynasty and made it look easy. One the greatest teams in NFL history.
March 21Mar 21 2024 is not only the better team, but it's historically great. One of the best teams ever...

The 2017 Team steam rolled some teams while the 2024 team struggled some during the season then got hot in the playoffs and steamrolled a dynasty. Its tough, I think the 2024 team had a more stacked roster but that 2017 team had a lot of depth and a lot of guys that just had their best years. Its a tough call, after the 2017 win I was exhausted and overwhelmed and just so happy, after the 2024 win I was like alright alright alright and have a bit of a swagger in my step. That 17 team was just special in a lot of ways and ending with foles Cinderella story then Kelces mummers speech was just so memorable. Where as 24 was more like yeah been there done that lets get another I cant pick its too hard, in a head to head id say maybe 24 wins but that 17 team had that magic and could pull off the upset.
March 21Mar 21 2017 was an incredible story. 2024 was an incredible team. Both Super Bowls are special and unique. Both were great and so much fun. But it isn’t really that close 2024 is a better all around team.

I do think the 2024 team is better. After the bye, they beat most teams pretty comfortably and flattened the Commanders and Chiefs. No real weaknesses. 2024 team definitely had more star players as well. I do think that people are underrating that 2017 team though. Wentz was MVP favourite before he got hurt. Foles played like an MVP after taking over (eventually). That’s not a coincidence. That team was stacked and had really good and deep lines on both sides.
March 21Mar 21 2024 team was definitely the better team and I thoroughly enjoyed beating down Washington and then KC...it was glorious! The 2017 team I think I related to more and feel a little more connected to. Probably because it was the 1st Super Bowl, we were significant underdogs and that team was just flat-out lovable. Many great characters and they were just having fun with it. Kelce's epic SB speech, etc.

March 21Mar 21 This 2024 team is probably one of the 20 best teams in NFL History. Don't focus on September. They had 2 new coordinators, lots of new players on D, and the NFL uses September as preseason now. They scored 95 points in the 2 biggest games because they felt no need to score 100+

But I could at least not have an issue with it if it excludes them. They were insane. And honestly, so were the 2002 Bucs, but I don't think anyone will give them credit due to personal gripes, and I can deal with that. Lol.
March 21Mar 21 As has been said, I love that 2017 team. The way they pulled it together and won from absolute despair is a story for the ages. It was so special because everyone jumped off the bandwagon so it was just us true fans who got to celebrate it. This team, absolute beast. The national pundits showed how much they are box score junkies and don't really know what's going on. Anybody who watched this team against the good run defense teams knew how well rounded and dominating this team was in all phases. Much of the year was spent with the team up by a TD+ in the second half and pulling away. One of the truly dominate teams of all time.

I was living near Baltimore that year so I got to see every game. That defense was a problem.

I was a touch young to remember that in particular too well, but it's just insane when you look at what they did, particularly in the playoffs. When you hear 'the defense and special teams alone outscored the other teams before the offense even was factored in, in the playoffs' it's still something that sounds mind boggling even to this day.

Kinda like the 01 hurricanes woulda been 8-4 had they never scored an offensive TD
March 22Mar 22 I think most agree that 24 is the better roster but let's dive a little deeper. Better prop? Dog Masks or Inner Excellence? Better rallying cry? "We all we got, we all we need" or "Let's hunt" Better (more significant) pick 6? Patrick Robinson or Coop? Most memorable play? Philly special or Saquon snow run (my fave)?
March 22Mar 22 Cliche answer: you can't do more than win the superbowl. And they both did that. Favoring 2017: there is something special about the 1st SB win...and the 2017 team started out dominant. They never would have gotten blown out by the Bucs in the regular season. Favoring 2024: If these two teams played head to head in the SB, 2024 wins. That was the most dominant SB win I have ever seen.
