April 25Apr 25 I am very happy with the pick. Howie likes to deal. I thought the Eagles may move up (~10 picks) for the right guy. I never expected them to move up for a LB. Welcome (back) to Philly Jihaad.

Either way, it’s not as crazy as it seems. This is just my personal opinion but I don't think KC would have traded out of their spot and risk losing the guy they took with how badly their oline looked in the sb and trading thuney... I'm not saying we were fleeced I'm not saying I don't like the trade and I am cool with Howie doing his thing I just believe he would have been there at 32 and we could have used the 5th for another trade... There was no doubt in my mind KC was going oline
April 25Apr 25 If you are at 32 and staring at a guy you have top 10 on your board, trading up one spot to 100% secure him is a no-brainer. We don't know, and will probably never know if the Chiefs were fielding any other calls. We also don't know who the next BPA was on the Eagles board. Might have been #30 overall on their board. Bottom line is if you can get a prospect you think is great, you get him. Well done Howie!
April 25Apr 25 Odd to move just one spot up for a LB. If Campbell is as good as Howie raved about, then the team got a good one. Besides, the team has more picks than they could accommodate on the roster. Spending one to alight the burden.Campbell is the LB taken in the 1st round since Gerry Robinson, which happened when I first followed the Eagles. Shall see what he would bring in the seasons ahead.

April 25Apr 25 Hmm...I hope all this doesn't become a real problem. Both shoulders? And "questions with his knee"? đŸ˜³
April 25Apr 25 Like this pick, BPAWasn’t thrilled with any of the DL or OL left. Would have felt very mehThe excitement in eagles draft room showed it was going to be a big move. Even Vic was in there smiling

Young guys usually bounce back pretty well. He's only jus turned 21. i know everyone is different but Dickerson had both knees and both ankles repaired in college and he's doing fine dealing with D-linemen every play. I say repair him, put him in the lab, and grow him steady for the next 2 years. By year 3 he's got a good chance at becoming a beast, and he'll only be 24.

He had 2 bad shoulders and bad knee and was still looked at as a top 20 pick. The second shoulder will require surgery post season (I assume they can't do both at the same time so they can at least use one arm) and an issue with his knee that may also require surgery. He wasn't a pick for this season but the year after. I think Trotter will see a number of legit minutes while Dean gets healthy from his injury and Campbell eases in.

Tony Pauline mentioned early this week that Campbell was "red-flagged" medically by numerous teams and may drop out of Round 1. Now I see why. Yikes. Just have to hope this turns out well and doesn't snowball into one of those always-injured players.
April 25Apr 25 There's a video of the call to him where Lurie said they'd been trying to go get him for the last hour.

April 25Apr 25 Can’t say I know too much about Campbell? I think it’s a decent pick though? Good player with real upside, fell to the end of the first due to the labrum injury / surgery right? But I don’t love the LB pick given the glaring issues at S, DE, CB and potentially TE. But I guess it’s about value and there’s of course still chance to address those issues.

KC doing this trade makes me feel like they were never going to drop back they were taking the ot no matter what
