I never used to, but I am barely functional this week. I found some Allegra although expired it has helped the nagging headache. What is worse is the left hip, hand, knee and ankle pain. Advil isn't working. Thinking it is some sort of inflammatory reaction. Just ordered some fresh Allegra and liquid glucosamine that's getting delivered today. It better provide some relief. This is nuts! Hearing this spring is pretty bad for a lot of folks.

My wife and daughter are both suffering pretty bad right now. Dry breezy weather sucks for them. Need a few days of soaking rain.

daily zyrtec helps me, otherwise my eyes swell up and get the sinus drip cough.

Brutal this year.

Yep - I take a daily zyrtec (generic version) year round, otherwise I have issues.

Never understood why anyone would pay more for the name brand when the generic is the literal exact same thing. People are dumb.

Very badly Di. Have my entire life. Actually went to get the allergy shots when I was a kid. Every Saturday morning, 3 shots in each arm. Actually grew to dread Saturdays for a while, but it did get me used to shots so they don't bother me anymore. BTW, I think the shots actually did help, I do still suffer from seasonal allergies but not as bad. The Fluticasone nasal spray helps too.

use flonase all year round...ENT put me on it last year when i had a bad sinus/ear thing going on. it takes a while to really start working but i've barely had a cold or anything sinus related since i started taking it. i still have some allergy symptoms but not nearly like in years past.

I'm allergic to Pollen. Green dust on my car every damn day. Some years are worse than others. This season has been ok. Just a few daily sneezes.

I do too hunt. The generic Sam’s Club Fluticasone Propionate anyway. Been using it for many years. Can’t help but wonder if my long term use is going to eventually have adverse consequences though.

I seemingly get allergies in the early fall, from late August into much of September. I never had it diagnosed, though, I get puffy and squeaky eyes and sneeze occasionally.

same…I must’ve asked the doctor "Are you sure?” a dozen times when he said I could basically take it for the rest of my life.

Pollen gets me. Living in an agriculture hot spot exposes me to some that is worse than others. I definitely developed more (allergic) reaction with age. I have had some success with zyrtec, but when they begin shaking the almond trees, that stuff is useless. Allegra has proven much more effective for me and I have switched over to the Costco version (Aller-Fex). I also take a teaspoon of raw local honey every morning. The combo of honey and aller-fex / allegra has been effective for me. The honey I do year round, but the allegra I do from about March-October.

The Costco Aller-Fex is 180 tablets for about $35. The Costco Zyrtec (Aller-Tec) is 365 tablets for about $13. They also have the Claritin knockoff called AllerClear which is 365 tablets for about $10. If the cheaper ones work for you, keep getting them. But I can't do my job if I start sneezing for 30 minutes straight, so I stick with the Aller-Fex.

You should be able to buy raw honey at Costco too, but people who use honey for allergies have found that the local stuff tends to be more effective because the bees are messing with the pollen that is likely messing with you. I know some people that get allergy shots that help, but they have to know specifically what you're allergic to.

I love honey and some swear by it for allergy relief. It's been raining here so I have been much better as of late. Glad you found what works for you. Getting old is really sucking!

I start taking bee pollen pills at the superbowl and take them until July. That helps the best. On bad stretches I might take a Claritin or something to get a boost.
