Being a bigot and ignorant about history is a tough position to hold, but you do it well. Sorry to hear your life sucks so bad. Maybe make better choices?

Sure if you plan to never set foot outside from April to September. I'd bet satan's arsehole isn't as hot and swampy. I'll take 3 cold months over that hellscape any day.

Most people go from their air conditioned house to their air conditioned car to their air conditioned job. Honestly it's not that bad, even if you're outside. You just get used to it. Eventually gets to the point where you grab a light jacket when it hits low 70s.

The traffic is crap, but I will give DeSantis credit in terms of the new road projects as they're making congestion relief a priority. Whenever they finish a project, it's night and day compared to how it was, and they're doing a lot of projects. In PA you're lucky if they fill in the pot holes once a decade.

The downside to Florida isn't the weather, its the people. It's not so bad if you're living close to a beach, but the further north you go, the further south you get.

Plus, if you live in Tampa Bay, per some apparent new NFL rule, you're now guaranteed a yearly Eagles game.

You don’t like six months of hot and humid?

Against my better judgement, I agreed to take the kids back to Disney again in August for 12 days and to attend the opening night of the Halloween party. FML

Between Ft Myers and Tampa or below Ft Myers is nice. If you have the money Sanibel is better if you aren't attached to anything you can't fit in a vehicle.

Pretty much.

Our governor is a Gen Xer and about as centrist as you can get. He even has high approval ratings among republicans. While your side has MTG who has suggested we dissolve the union, and Bobert a high school drop out giving hand jobs in public when not in congressional hearings.

That's funny, I think we took our families to Disney around the same time a few summers ago. We are going back to Florida in August as well, but doing all the Harry Potter stuff at Universal this time. Have fun!

We've never been in august, always during christmas or spring break, including just seven months ago. After one really bad spring break trip a few years ago where like every day was in the 90's, I swore I'd only come back in the winter, and yet here I am.

We did universal hollywood two summers ago but we'll probably do universal orlando either next spring break or christmas break in '26. My youngest should be tall enough for the hulk coaster by then. Sucks that they're shutting down rip ride rocket before we had a chance to ride it.

We found these cold towels on amazon that you soak in ice water and they stay cold for hours. That helped with the Florida heat. At Disney at least most of the lines are air conditioned.

Yep. Frogg Chilly towels. We've been using them for a while now. We have the neck fans too. This time though, I worry they'll be no match for Florida in August. Current plan each day until the party day is to do a late breakfast, then water parks or pool during the day, and then theme parks from 6 til close.

The takeaway from yesterday's primary should be that, when you continually humor the fantastical nonsense, and excusing the bad behavior, of children, they will continue to push the envelope further and further.

Sounds like the 2016 Republican Presidential Primary.

One of my favorite parts of CVON is where Trumptards pretend that socialism and fascism aren't both forms of collectivism and are indeed 2 sides of the same coin.

Laughable - not if he was a real law and order candidate because MAGA only selectively cares about that issue

Both sides are selective...just depends on who is committing the crime

That I can agree with.

Halloween nights seem less crowded and your kids can lots of candy. We’re doing Universal Halloween night in September since it’s Five Nights at Freddys themed.
