That slop is what's available in food deserts. Ya boy made a lot more of those. But yeah "ooooooo look he turned the pyramid upside down!"

Yeah that must suck."Eating recommended whole foods listed there is still way more cost effective than the slop the government was recommending previously."Meat is uniformly way more expensive than whole grains no matter how you cut iy. If you're looking at price per calorie (ie how much energy I get from food per $) fruits and vegetables are some of the most expensive things out there. Fish is probably second. In conclusion: yup, you're still retarded.

Hurrdurrr!
January 7Jan 7 Yeah I'm sure the gravy seals that voted for Trump three times will definitely start eating more lean protein and vegetables because of this guidance. That's clearly what'll happen.

January 12Jan 12 It's completely insane that I'm getting emails like this from our kids' pediatrician's office...Hello,As pediatricians, our mission is simple: to protect the health, safety, and well-being of every child. We know it's becoming harder to make sense of the changing recommendations from public health agencies, like the CDC. With frequent updates and changing guidance, it's understandable as a parent you feel overwhelmed by all the information— especially when it comes to vaccines and other decisions that affect your child's health. We continue to stand with and support the guidance of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The AAP reviews the latest scientific evidence — including updates from the CDC — and translates it into clear recommendations that parents can depend on. Their work remains grounded in one priority: the health and well-being of all children. We understand that being a parent and making the right choice for your child is stressful. If you ever have questions — about vaccines, new health recommendations, or anything else — please send us a MyChart message, come talk with us in person or schedule a video consult visit. As your child's pediatric providers, we are here to listen, to explain, and to help you make decisions that are right for your child. No question is too small, and no concern is ever dismissed. Sincerely,

Sincerely, I wrote up something similar for the office last month. The worst part? These emails/social media posts etc often get shared to antivax groups who then en masse give 1 star reviews and flood the comments section of their Facebook page etc. We even had one case up here where they shared names and locations of all the docs and managers in the office. It's Fed.

But on Jan. 22, 2026, it officially withdrew from the global health group. The U.S. has historically been the largest funder to the WHO, through both its assessed and voluntary contributions, so the departure is poised to disrupt both global and domestic health. "This is one of the most penny-wise and billion-dollar-foolish moves,” says Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.
