Doctors can literally make up to twice as much in areas like that and they still have massive shortages. That should tell you all you need to know.

I need to live in close proximately to a good cardiologist. When I was in NC a good one was over 2 hours away. I did not think that would improve by moving further down south. Something one takes for granted in the Philadelphia area.

Yup. School systems are a big factor too if you have young kids. The public schools in those areas suck ass so it's private school or bust.
