Puerto Rico is a US territory and everyone born there is a US citizen. There is also a non-voting Representative in the US House of Representatives from Puerto Rico (don't worry, you have two from West VA and they can even vote).There is simply nothing wrong or stupid with having a half time show celebrating Puerto Rico. In any case, you certainly are allowed NOT to like it, no problem there.
