If you’re actually capable of acting like a normal person on the internet then you’re fine. If you say "maga” on the internet you are subject to god knows what. If you say "all lives matter” god knows the sheet you may have put yourself and your family in. wouldn't you agree? but i digress. Im gettiNg off topic
September 6, 20205 yr I think it comes with age. At least for me. Sports just become so less important in your life. Other things become more important. And that's ok. It really is.
September 7, 20205 yr Yeah with the rioting going on still and the COVID sports are in the new normal too!

My employeer totally appreciates it. seriously though. Muhammad Ali stood against the Vietnam war. It was a worthy cause especially for young black men in a time where they were still fighting for equality but being asked to go 1/2 way across the world to die. He paid a pretty heavy price for his stance too. Are the likes of Lebron willing to make any personal sacrifices whatsoever? I would have supported Ali’s protest. But the blm cause is bogus because they arent condemning The black on black killings that plague our cities only the rare cases of cop on black killings. They dont like police and i grt that but the police are a vital part of our communities. And athletes should know that better than anyone W/o police we wouldnt have sports period. Imagine going to an NFL game with no police presence? Total anarchy. And these athletes... they may not need the police because they pay money we couldn't ever afford for private security when in public So there’s that hypocrisy too I am so thankful no one "liked" this
October 13, 20205 yr All I like is the NFL. Just really could careless about the rest. Sorry if I offend any fans!
October 13, 20205 yr I've been that way for a couple of years now. Including the Eagles. I cried and let out a huge sigh of relief when they won the Super Bowl and something inside told me I don't have the strength to hang in there for another 40+ years to see if they'd win another (Philly sports teams tend to win the one-off's here and there. We don't build dynasties). Haven't watched hockey, basketball, soccer, or baseball in a couple of years except for a game here and there.
October 13, 20205 yr football and baseball are the only sports i really watch beyond the home teams. once the flyers and sixers are out, i rarely watch the playoffs.
October 14, 20205 yr since they finally won a super bowl, i don't get as angry when the eagles lose. in fact, i kind of expect it. i do watch the sixers...just about every game...but expectations are low there as well. haven't watched a baseball game in years. i still love my sports but yes...priorities change as you get older.
October 14, 20205 yr 2008 seems like a very long time ago.... next year will be 13 years.... only a few years shy of the same time period between 1993 phils and 2008 phils.... i'm ready for some fun phillies summer
