Much much better barrel life plus ammo is much cheaper and easier to find. SOCOM's small arms budget is a bottomless pit of money so they can afford whatever they want. They say the 6.5 doubles hit probability at 1,000 meters but don't give any explanation how. 6.5 has a flat trajectory. 99.9% of shooters won't notice because they couldn't hit a mountain at a grand, but for the tip shooters it is what they are all going with.

If you’re a major bulk buyer you can get it under $0.60 per round. Otherwise figure 60 to 70 cents per round.

GunBot has a bunch of stuff listed around $1.50 for a complete round. http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/rifle/65creedmoor/ Otherwise expect what @TEW said.

If I read right, this was a supposed drug bust but at the wrong address? Whoever got the address wrong, should probably be under investigation for some kind of charges. I don't know what laws might cover that, but that kind of mistake can't go unpunished.
May 21, 20205 yr I wish the CMP still had 1903's or M1 Carbines available to order. I'd buy one of each.
May 26, 20205 yr Anyone know where I can get a new Mossberg 590A1 with an 18.5” barrel...or a field set?
June 3, 20205 yr I found a guy around the corner from me who has an FFL and does transfers for cheap out of his business. I've sold 5 handguns to friends and family so far
June 5, 20205 yr Buddy just texted me about TC compass rifles being on sale at Cabela's. He picked up a 270 before they sold out for 99 bucks. I was able to snag a .22-250 for 160. Don't really need it but I've always wanted that caliber and I have a scope laying around needing to be used

I've sold 5 handguns to friends and family so far There was a guy who lived about 10 miles from me who had an FFL and did transfers for $5, but some new regulations were requiring him to pay a pretty large fee, so he just let it go and no longer has the FFL. I only actually got to use him a couple of times. One of which was to send a pistol to one of my brothers (to an FFL in Maryland). He (my brother), wanted a pistol and one of my other brothers gave him one that he had, but since me and my brother live in Virginia, we had to do it all through an FFL and Maryland has some pretty strict laws. I'm not really a shotgun person, the only shotguns that I own are ones that were passed down from my grandfather, to my father and then to me. They're antiques, the kind that require caps and powder. They're late 1800's, time-wise. So I'll never shoot them. That said. I have no clue as to whether this is a good, or bad price, but it's under $500. https://grabagun.com/mossberg-590a1-tactical-m-lok-12-gauge-18-5-6-round.html I'm sure the answer is yes, but do shotguns have to go through an FFL?

June 5, 20205 yr I live in the Great State of New Jersey, Purgatory for a Firearms owner. Every handgun purchase requires a separate, individual permit issued by the local Chief of Police after (yet another) LEO background check. As background checks are currently on hold due to "understaffing" thanks to the Rona, handgun purchases are effectively denied as a matter of course. Firearms ID cards, required for the permit applications, are also on hold for the same reason, so prospective first time handgun owners are being denied their Second Amm. rights. Also, too bad if you already have a Firearms ID card but just had a change of address. Your new address won't fly on the paperwork and to update your current ID card requires a completely new background check (again), which aren't happening anyway. Governor Murphy, staunch anti gun bozo, has succeeded in getting his agenda fulfilled and denying the legally entitled citizen from firearms purchases. This ID is also required for ammo purchases by the way. If you aren't currently armed and ammo-ed, you won't be anytime soon in New Jersey. Lovely state of affairs. Fortunately I'm well ahead of the curve on this one.
