I recommend a good two point.

I do have a fondness for Remington

was never a mossberg guy

Eh, Remington isn’t what they used to be.

agreed, but that versamax will eat anything you throw at it. a lot of the 3.5" semis have trouble with low brass sport rounds, but ive never even had a hiccup out of mine and i abuse that thing all waterfowl season. granted, a benelli is gunna be a great gun too, but for a fraction of the price, that versamax is hard to beat.

Ah yeah, I don’t know much about the hunting side of things.  By bad, I was thinking more tactical than birds.

I have a Mossberg 500 that I’m happy with, but if I was making a shotgun purchase to be my main HD gun I’d go with a Benelli M4. You can’t beat a high quality semi auto.

Whatever you decide to get, when it comes to ammo I recommend #4 buck. Everyone likes #00, however with #4 the pellets are still comparable in diameter to a 9mm round, plus you get more pellets in the shell.

makes sense, i always go right to hunting when it comes to shotguns, but thats just because i use them so much for it.

i will say, i had a mossberg 835 before i bought my versamax, and beat the absolute piss out of it for 14 years until it fell apart. and when i say beat the piss out of it, that includes not cleaning it as much as i should, cause what teenager wants to clean their gun that much

True story. I’m 32 even I don’t want to clean them that much.

Does anyone have the Sig Sauer p320 compact?  Heard great things about it and was thinking about getting one.  If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Great guns

Sold my M1A today and picked up a Sig P226 Legion SAO and an FN 509 Tactical

I’m a big fan of the 226. Just a great pistol.

I have a P365 as a CCW.  It's typical high quality Sig Sauer.

I tried to buy the xCompact at the same time, but my dealer couldn't find one.

I’ve found that since Sig started picking up more gov contracts their qc on the civilian side is lacking. I’m hearing lots of reports from people I trust that are having issues. And I say this as someone who owns a P226 (duty gun) and a P228.

I think my next handgun will actually be a CZ. From what I’m seeing nowadays CZ right now is on the level that Sig was in the late 90s early 2000s. Or an HK, due to their obvious quality and the fact that they lowered their prices quite substantially.

I have a CZ P09 and the trigger puts my DA/SA P226 to shame.

Great ergos too..... My buddy loves his P10.

The FN I bought feels great, but I haven't been to the range yet.

Maybe a dumb question, but have you ever fired snake shot out of it?  I know that some semi-auto pistols are ok, and some suck with snake shot.  Certain places that I fish I carry a revolver with snake shot because I have stumbled across copperheads before.   Was thinking of getting a new side carry and getting rid of revolver.

I wouldn't shoot them in a semiauto.  Doesn't it say so on the box?

I’ve watched tutorials on it where some semis are good and others jam easy, and break the tip dripping pellets in the gun.  Not sure what the box says.
