This saga fills me with regret. The fact that he lied about winning the election, tried to overturn the results, and gleefully let his followers riot inside the Capitol was a bit of a clue that he was a smidge unhinged? Really? There's no excuse for not seeing this crap coming man I'm sorry.

But the term "regret" implies you thought something different would happen. Trump showed you exactly who he was on his way out in his first term. "Regret" seems silly.

No one thought he would possibly go to war against NATO countries.
January 15Jan 15 Very on brand for uneducated Trump voters to not understand the meaning of simple words like regret.

A power hungry corrupt narcissist, who had long since scared any reasonable adult away and surrounded himself with yes-men, was shown that there were zero consequences for ignoring the core tenants of the position. No one should be surprised he's continuing that trend now. It's just silly to act shocked by any of this.

For instance, I can also regret something that I fully expected to happen. Hypothetical example- I smoked for many years knowing the risks, but still feel immense regret when I deal with severe health consequences. Not surprised at all that CVON faux-intellects wouldnt understand words that they are making fun of people for not understanding.

That they'll very likely kill you. So which is it? Did you vote for him knowing he was going to do unhinged autocratic stuff but didn't care? Or did you "not expect anything like this" and are blindsided by him threatening the status of NATO and trying to make Greenland part of the US? 2 things he literally said he wanted his first term.

The example I gave was solely to illustrate the point that regret is not necessarily correlated with expectations. It was CLEARLY not intended as a 1:1 comparison between the decisions to vote for trump, and smoking.Yes you know the risks of smoking. That does not automatically mean you vote for trump expecting him to go to war with NATO. While the expectations in each scenario are both drastically different, both decisions can equally be regretful.I wonder if you guys will understand yet... This is always so amusing having to explain things like I am talking to 5 year olds while you guys try to call me the dumb one.
January 15Jan 15 Just to be clear, though I know nothing is ever clear to you peopleWhile Trump is doing some regrettable things none of the democrats look any more appealing to me now than they did on election day and Ill be surprised if they appoint someone Ill want to vote for in the next election too.Go ahead and cry about that.

Have I got that right? This is why Trump is doing what he's doing. These are unserious clown nations. You’re a rahtard

Now help us fix it moving forward.

That's what I expected to happen and now I regret it.""I feel sorry for your family, Bob."

You made a mistake. You’re owning up to it in here which is easy. Do the same IRL and encourage others to do so.

This saga fills me with regret.I think this is actually an understatement with all that he has done. We have a crazy lunatic in the Oval Office and it’s hard to understand that anyone can still defend this crap. I’m glad that you see and acknowledge all of this, which some here are incapable of doing. Yeah, you voted for him and that’s what too many others did as well. I don’t think it helps this country moving forward by attacking the ones that are showing regret, or better yet remorse, like MTG. What’s done is done and now sane people from both ends of the spectrum need to find a common ground in order to oppose this lunacy. This isn’t about policy issues anymore. The dude is going completely off the rails and it’s happening in plain sight. If this doesn’t get people to find some common ground, nothing really will.

We most likely all have family members or friends that have been engulfed in the cult. It’s so difficult having a normal discussion in real life these days without tearing up bonds with family/friends.I’m actually glad that we’re able to interact here with others who have completely different views. Will that do anything to change the needle?! Nope, definitely not. 🤷♂️

The ICE stuff will help others.

It’s these fundamental issues about who we are as Americans, not if you’re in favor of lowering taxes for the rich or Obama Care etc. etc… it’s not about policies anymore IMO.

I consider how the person would perform in crisis, how intelligent I perceive them to be, and their morality. No matter how weak any of the democrat candidates have been, Trump always seemed the opposite of all of that, and no matter who he ran against he seemed the worst choice by far. In any scenario, when presented with limited choices, you have to make concessions. For many elections i voted Republican across the board, except for president.

This time was different and we all knew it.

I'd love to vote for a republican president, if they could find a qualified candidate, but im not giving my vote to a demented criminal with a low IQ just because of the color shirt he wears. Most Trump voters find him appealing because he hates the same people they hate, and thats it.

Their portfolio looks good for now but everything else around them is going to sheet. HE is one of those.
