Can the OP be updated to list all of the coaches we've interviewed? Going through 10+ pages to see who we've interviewed isn't a good idea

If we do that we better have a backup plan like hiring Frank Reich to help bring him along. We can’t make the same mistake over and over.

Here is the current list of interviews/interview requests/rumored interviews for candidates that are still available as of today. (not including coaches like Daboll because it's already been said he won't be our OC)

Declan Doyle (Bears OC)

Charlie Weis Jr (Ole Miss)

Josh Grizzard (fired from Bucs)

Matt Nagy (contract expired from Chiefs)

Mike Kafka (former Giants OC)

The questions have been posed in media that the position might not be as desirable as the Eagles think it is....the fact that Daboll would rather go to the Titans as OC (assuming the Bills don't give him HC) than the Eagles is pretty damning...so if there is something that is scaring candidates away as speculated is that:

1. Sirianni

2. Hurts

3. Both

Craig Carton was reporting that it’s Jeff Stoutland, who doesn’t want his role reduced as run game coordinator. I don’t believe that for a second. Stoutland is a legend here and shouldn’t have to give up any part of his role here.

I would think Stout is probably the most adaptable since he's gone through many coaching cycles. Have we ran the same concepts since Chip? I doubt it

I watch a lot of analysis by Emanuel Acho, and one of the things that he always says is that Hurt doesn't throw with anticipation, or "throw guys open".
This is problematic, and one would hope that they try to sharpen his skills in this area, because if he can't learn to do this, he will never evolve as a passer and any offenses will be extremely limited.

It's a good job. The fact that different guys will rate the open OC opportunities differently is being used an excuse by the hysterical fanbase to say that the world is ending

The way I see it there are 2 ways for the Eagles to come out of this looking good (and how they look now admittedly doesn't matter once the games start)

1. Their patience pays off because a prime candidate becomes available like Brady or Daboll or even a guy tied up in teams playing

2. They unearth a late gem like Declan Doyle because their process was so through and unrushed that they kept digging for interesting candidates

Conversely if they hire a guy like Kafka who they interviewed a week ago it has the appearances of missing out on guys, desperately searching for something better and then going to back a guy you didn't appear all that eager to hire originally

Kinda reminds me of their HC search process. In which category would you put Sirianni (one of the 2 bullet points or the latter comment)?

Fair point, they’d say 2. I might have to add 3. they make a late desperation move with a new candidate which seems to be how a lot of their searches appear to end

I think I'm at the point where I would be happy with a young, upcoming, innovator of an OC/Play caller. If he leaves in 3 years, so be it. Maybe we have another SB Trophy within that 3 year window. I think we'd all take that. 🦅🏈
