I got to go to the first 2 days of the combine. Saw the whole defense and the TE's. Really neat experience. Won't miss any of the days next year.

Here are some of the takeaways -

The walkaeay $ for Blankenship went DOWN. The safeties were impressive and deep, even if Caleb downs didn't work out.

Loved the corner depth also. We'll be able to get a potential starter on day 2.

For those Nittany Lion fans - the Penn State guys showed will. Durant was a beast and I'd love him to be an Eagle if he were taller than 6'1". Dennis-Sutton also showed well, but Wheatley.

Only a couple tight ends are potential round and 2 guys - Sadiq, Stowers, and possible Klare - but there are a bunch who could be good picks in the 3rd.

Resign our own -

Edge Phillips - the 1 big signing

Pumter Mann - minimum salary

QB Howell - only 2 on the roster

TE Goedert - age and injury history keep him within $ reach

IOL Brett Toth - minimum salary and he is a versitile backup

Free agent signings -

Edge Kingsley Enegbare - depth piece along with a draft pick

Corner Noah Igbinoghere - potential starter replacing Adoree' Jackson

Wide receiver Jalen Tolbert - always noce to snatch a Dallas player

Trade - Tanner McKee to whoever misses the chair when the music stops. Howie squeezes our trade partner for a 2 and a 5

No trade - AJ Brown

Draft -

1 - OT Monroe Freeling, Georgia 6'7" 315 The big potential replacement for LAne that everyone wants

2 - Edge Gabe Jacas, Illinois 6'3" 263 4.68 Fills out the room

2 - Omar Cooper, Indiana 6'0" 196 4.42 Competes for WR3

3 - S Jalon Kilgore South Carolina 6'1" 210 4.40 Only a matter of time until he displaces Epps as the starter

3 - CB Daylen Everetts Georgia 6'1" 196 4.38 Very impressive combine. Only available because of depth at corner in this draft

3 - TE Eli Raridon Notre Dame 6'6" 245 4.62 Finally, a tight end who can block

4 - OT Demetrious Crownover Texas A&M 6'7" 320 He's been my guy all along. if he falls out of day 2 grab him. Convert him to G. Steen is in his contract year

4 - LB Jaishawn Barham Michigan 6'3" 240 4.64 A big LB who also plays edge. Was an edge at the combine

5 - QB Drew Allar Penn State 6'5" 228 The new developmental #3

5 - TE Oscar Delp Georgia 6'5" 245 4.59 Howie lover him some Georgia Builldogs

5 - K Trey Smack Florida If he doesn't win the job keep him on the practice squad
