It took him a couple years to become reliable in coverage (which is expected for off ball LBs coming into the NFL) and he's the guy you want wearing the green dot. I believe he was the closest thing we had to a leader on defense.But we were preparing for this when we drafted Campbell. He gained valuable experience as a rookie and didn't disappoint. It's never great to miss opportunities to work, but unlike years past, I'm pretty confident in our depth with Trotter and Mondon if Campbell isn't ready in time. It's also a great opportunity for Trotter to gain practice reps with the 1st team. I hate seeing Dean go, but I still like the room without him.

18 hours ago18 hr Nakobe Dean brought a lot more than on field production.......he is a pure and inspirational leader.....he's shown that all thru college and in the pros. But he has an injury history and the eagles were up against the cap. I think he'll have a huge impact on the raiders defense.I was thrilled when the eagles got him in the draft, but the writing was on the wall when they drafted Campbell......
