The right wing media's disciplined and effective in a way the left hasn't really grappled with yet. And when Trump's dead, it doesn't stop. At some point, the more moderate factions of the world are going to have to understand how to either replicate their effectiveness on a massive scale and fight fire with fire or outright shut them down. Neither are particularly appealing options, but it's that or watch them eventually get everything they want, which, taken to it's conclusion, will be the end of the free western world.

Trump nabbed RFK Jr and pulled a pretty decent clip of left wing looneys in the process. And Harris aligned with some old school conservatives like Cheney. So it really was moderates vs radicals. But it didn't work. The moderates lost. Which (along with the way Biden let Trump off the hook and the way the establishment Dems shrugged and took it in the ass after Trump won) is why the left's looking at the landscape and saying "well, at least let's kick these old ineffective losers out". I wish more economically moderate Dems took the anti-Israel/anti-red-states/pro-cities mantle, but they usually don't.

July 2Jul 2 I think it's LONG PAST time for "moderates" to come to grips with the fact they only make up about 1/3 of the country and don't have the political power they think they have. The country would be best served with 3 parties because the actual distribution is roughly 1/3 MAGA cultist fascists, 1/3 socialist liberals and 1/3 moderates getting torn at the seams.

Dems are somewhat better in that regard, but stop quite short of moving to the middle during actual campaigns. The old adage was move to the edges during primaries and to the middle for the general, but now moderates are being asked to make harder choices.
