It is over dude.  The whole thing is about to come crashing down.  The question is how.  I think the Dems are going to split in two and the moderate group will pillage the Repubs leaving three main parties plus the little startups.  We'll see a good bit of violence along with this.  How much and how widespread is really the big question.  The US political landscape is about to undergo its biggest change in decades.

I disagree on the splintering of the parties. I do think the natural divisions that you point out exist, but ultimately a third party is completely unworkable in today’s political battlefield. The amount of money and infrastructure required is a barrier to entry.

Unless you get a few of the richest people in America to bankroll a third party to the tune of billions of dollars, it just won’t work. Most people dislike a lot of the elements of their own party, but at the end of the day, it’s the only vehicle they have to manifest their views in the state.

Situation reversed in 2016 I don't think Dems sit on a nomination. But now? I don't know. McConnell had lowered the bar.

Thanks to his coming nominee we will have another 8 years of President Trump to talk about it.

So, do you think we successfully repeal the 22nd Amendment or do we just ignore it?

I think we just play it as we go for the first 8 or 12 years.

good times.

Has nothing to do with policy. The current Republican party is an embarrassment.

Yeah. I laughed at the move when I was a  republican; however, it really it truly has set our country back when you elect a game show host as president.

Great. By that rational they have nothing to lose. Good news is Amy will help make sure they overturn things and get him re-elected this year ;)

Gotta be honest, the enthusiasm over potentially stealing the election was not the angle I was expecting today.

Hey, it's just a good day all around. Nothing the liberals to in the courts will matter now. But they can keep counting as long as they want if it makes them feel better.
