Nevertheless, you don't know what people's actions are such as donating to the charities, fostering or adopting, feeding children, working at food banks, getting involved in social programs and other volunteering, etc. If you want to get personal, here are some things I do. I volunteer with my church at a food bank that feeds families. I volunteer with an organization End Slavery Tennessee which focuses on human trafficking. There is a community of refugees from the Middle East that have taken up shelter here in Nashville and a couple that owned an apartment complex decided to open it up to them at reduced or free rent which is paid for by donations. My family and I serve that community through our church by buying and donating supplies, showing up to serve food and play games with the kids to give them entertainment, provide backpacks with school supplies each Fall, a big Christmas party where another large local church hosts with hot meals, toys and other gifts, pictures with Santa, games and music. In the summer because they don't have the free school breakfast and lunches, churches and people around the community volunteer in shifts to serve breakfast and lunch to this community every day and give them groceries for their dinners. I'll give you another example. A friend of mine is a missionary who's worked around the world, currently in Greece helping people fleeing Turkey and Syria with food, shelter, medicine and money to help them along their journey to whatever country they're trying to get to. He visited one of the locations of his organization in Africa, where there are cult people who sacrifice their babies (not abortion, babies after they're born) by tying them to trees in the woods and left for dead. This organization waits until the adults who do this are gone and rescue the babies and travel with them to a foster and adoption clinic to save their lives. Again it's just a huge assumption and lazy generalization that pro life people don't care and do nothing. Are you sure it's not just an easy colloquialism?

September 22, 20205 yr Like anyone really cares about their kids once they're born. I've seen enough of that "care" in action to seriously consider requiring permitting to have children.

September 22, 20205 yr If I thought making abortion illegal would make the world a better place, I would probably support making it illegal. But unfortunately I don’t believe that. I wish I could, but that’s just not reality. I would not let any of my 3 daughters or 4 nieces ever think abortion was the best option, but that’s my world where I have influence. My parents got married 6 months before my sister was born... that was my grandparents influence. Not everyone is as fortunate as me and my family. Imagine if the billions of dollars spent on trying to overturn Roe vs Wade were spent on supporting unexpected mothers and showing them the better options to abortion.

Imagine if the billions of dollars spent on trying to overturn Roe vs Wade were spent on supporting unexpected mothers and showing them the better options to abortion. Studies have shown a direct correlation between availability of abortion services and crime. When abortion is restricted, crime rises years later when abused and unwanted babies who might have been aborted reach their teens. The book FREAKONOMICS has the details if you're interested. But too many people use abortion as birth control in place of actual birth control methods. I'm not talking about the occasional failure of birth control, but stupid **** who don't use anything at all, other than abortion. Women who have four or five abortions (and sometimes end up sterile after that.) But even that is arguably better than these morons giving birth to more little cretins.

October 19, 20204 yr Quote A federal judge on Sunday formally struck down a Trump administration attempt to end food stamp benefits for nearly 700,000 unemployed people, blocking as "arbitrary and capricious” the first of three such planned measures to restrict the federal food safety net. In a scathing 67-page opinion, Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell of D.C. condemned the Agriculture Department for failing to justify or even address the impact of the sweeping change on states, saying its shortcomings had been placed in stark relief amid the coronavirus pandemic, during which unemployment has quadrupled and rosters of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program have grown by more than 17 percent, with more than 6 million new enrollees. The rule "at issue in this litigation radically and abruptly alters decades of regulatory practice, leaving States scrambling and exponentially increasing food insecurity for tens of thousands of Americans,” Howell wrote, adding that the Agriculture Department "has been icily silent about how many [adults] would have been denied SNAP benefits had the changes sought . . . been in effect while the pandemic rapidly spread across the country.” The judge concluded that the department’s "utter failure to address the issue renders the agency action arbitrary and capricious.”
