I’ve been saying for several years now that the number issue with the secondary is Schwartz scheme. I’m convinced that as long as he is running the defense, the pass D is never going to look good.

He did miss games while with the Eagles so I can understand not keeping him.  Still I would have found a way.

Hicks was always injured here. He wanted major money and got it from AZ. He could not stay healthy here. Which goes further to the belief that the training staff is the problem. But, the larger issue was that he was here 4 years and majorly injured for 3 of them. I said last season, that the warmer weather and new staff could be a major reason for his playing up to his potential.

And without Jenkins to slide into LB spot...we are vulnerable. I do not so much reminisce about Jenkins, as I am angry about Howie's drafts and an idiotic philosophy that LB's do not matter. The position may have changed and we need 2 covering LB's instead of 3 run stoppers, but still Every position does matter. We could use a high quality LB anytime.

Once again Howie thinks he's the smartest man in the room. He thinks the LB position is redundant even though other teams have still taken LBs high. Other teams continue to field pretty good LB groups. 

And it cost us a comp pick if memory serves me

Not sure its Howie so much.  Before Schwartz we had guys like Demeco Ryans, Jordan Hicks and Kendricks.  

I think If they moved on from Schwartz then they would probably value a good LB or 2 again.
