Very good point. Gerry is awful and he was on the only guy who was killing them and Swartz let it happen

He wasn’t the only guy. The DEs have been over pursing since the Rams game. Motion exposes this defense. The Eagles DEs didn’t even try and cover the screens. All they cared about it seemed was running up field. They aren’t playing smart football.

I was encouraged by the offense today. They put up 29 points, got explosive plays and had success throwing downfield to outside receivers. If you told me all that at the start of the game - I would have been very pleasantly surprised.

They were hurt by three key things: Lack of run game other than the big one by Miles, the INT on the throw to Ertz and clock mismanagement at the end of half. Refs played a part in both by not calling interference on Ertz or stopping clock after Fulgham went out of bounds. But the eagles need to better - Wentz and Ertz need to be more in-sync, Ertz needed more effort after the bump and coaches should have been on the refs. Wentz wasn’t great today but he good and has definitely been better the last two weeks than the start of the season.

Defense on the other hand was a major let down today.

You know @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! Says those Good/bad/ugly write ups are therapeutic for him, but if this season keeps going like this he might develop an ulcer.

I think Prescott just broke his ankle

Yeah it looked pretty bad. Not good.

Looked like the Darby injury

Dalton is a good backup.

Dak shoulda signed that deal.

Let's not forget who real problem is: HOWIE ROSEMAN.

Absolutely.  i don't know how we scored 29 points on that D with 4 backup OLmen,  waiver wire star WR and 6 yards receiving from our TE.  No 2nd RB.  Wentz did something right.

Dalton is more than a good backup - he’s a legit NFL starting QB who may be better suited to run the Cowboys offense than Dak.

if this Cowboys giants game ends in a tie. 😂🤣😂

Meh.

Dalton looked more dangerous than Dak but goddamnit Giants - we’d be still in first place if they could play some D.

Although, another token playoff appearance won’t do us much good. We need a high pick which hopefully leads to an impact player on D or a stud OL. This team is old and injury-prone. What we put out on the field lacks talent because of all the injuries. Not too mention expensive with upcoming cap hell. Hitting on a good draft is really needed.

Damn I leave to go to 7 eleven come back and Dak is done....oh man

For the year. Compound fracture.

In retrospect, that FG decision loomed large.  No kicker has ever made a 57 yarder or longer at Heinz. And, the way our defense was struggling, Doug should've gone for it there.  We needed to keep eating clock.  There's no guarantee of course. But, I would imagine the analytics would've also suggested going for it on a 4th and 5 vs. trying a 57 yarder in that stadium.  Even if Jake had made that,  I don't think our defense stops them.

Saw replay, don’t know what to think, be happy we won’t have to face him or feel bad for him, poor guy wanted to beat him lol

That's awful for Dak, i never want to see a player hurt and especially like that.

Yeah that looked gruesome. Similar to Allen Hurns in the playoff game a couple years ago.

One of those WRs went off for 150 yards plus a TD. Not a bad option really...

Right, Wentz had a receiver who was cut multiple times by multiple teams put up a huge game. If anything I think that point goes toward my argument that Wentz isn’t the problem.

Anyone else seen enough of Schwartz and his failed scheme? I have had enough of him, nearly every WR, some running backs and some all around old a** players that should have retired this year or last.

I just don't like the mentality he has of letting one player dominate and not doing anything to force the offense to go to someone else. Belichick schemes to take a player away and forces teams to adjust. Schwartz just wants the players to figure it out. And, he is fine with allowing points as long as we win. I want more of the mentality of trying to limit points regardless of the score.

Schwartz and his scheme have been exposed. It doesn't work in Philly, for whatever reason. Another person that has worn out his welcome for me. There are some players and coaches I can't wait to see leave for good. I always give them the benefit of the doubt, until it's impossible to believe in them at all anymore. Schwartz hit that for me today.

BAM

Was a winnable game.  Just had to play it smart and make a few yards to get in reasonable field goal range.  Doug for some reason does not understand situational football.  Pretty sure the same thing happened in the Cincinnati game too.  Don’t have Wentz drop back and risk a negative play when you just need a few yards.

I see no chance he’s back when his contract is up. I hope the owner cleans house and dumps that GM too.

Yes it was. Weather wasn't a factor

Mainly due to weather. Has nothing else to do with it.

The way the winds blow at the stadium are what to do with it.  Have you been there?
