This maybe too late with the upgrade, but I noticed that embedding issue has a workaround for X posts. If you change the URL from x.com to twitter.com, it will embed. Also texting as plain text may fix the issue too

I have always had that problem and have used a simple workaround to fix it. I put two fingers on my phone/mobile screen and spread them in order to zoom in. That makes the star bigger and as a result more sensitive.

I tried using that approach on one of RTK’s comments to see if I could make him more sensitive, but unfortunately it didn’t have any effect.

Copy the link and paste it in the address bar. Then just change x.com to twiter.com and then copy that and paste it here

It's what we did when twitter became x but the board wouldn't accept x

Now that there's a static toolbar at the bottom on mobile, if you click the menu (3 line hamburger icon), the breadcrumb path appears.

Don't know if they'll be able to add it to the home but at least it's something. I do like the toolbar being at the bottom but have to get used to looking there. Saves from scrolling all the way up to see notifications.

On laptop/PC, the menu options shrink into the "More" tab when you are into forums/sub-forums. When on Home they are all there. Just an FYI for people looking for the Amazon link for example.

I was running some chatgpt prompts making some (admittedly rude) renditions of my friends here, and noticed that the AI responded in ways that made it evident that it could read the content in the What's Up/CVON areas. Are those sections open for public mining?

Not really a big deal I'm just curious about the settings because I thought those areas were member-restricted.

Sometimes, I have to paste as plain text when I get that issue and that can resolve the issue. Bit of a weird one, but it can resolve it.

Maybe I misunderstood.

My process has been if the link doesn't show. Cut the link and paste as plain text. Then if that doesn't work, change the link to twitter.com. Then paste a plain text. At some point, something on X will embed.

Its a super random, but it can work eventually.

The issue is more prevalent on posts that have more than one post from X on it, for me anyway

The link is in the editor. I went into another window and changed the link to twitter. I highlighted the link in the editor and clicked paste. It should have changed the link to the new one that's in the clipboard. Nothing was changed. I had to delete the highlighted link and then paste the link to get it to appear

From what I understand what you tried never worked. You have to change it in the address bar first, then just paste it here.

If you paste it here first and then edit, it won't work.

I do not know about everyone also, but personally I Hate the new black background. Harder for me to look at , and read.

Strong vote for going back to white background of the past.

this black background reminds me of the original MB.
