The policy in California where businesses are requiring employees to be vaccinated or they can't work for them is leading to a significant increase in vaccinations and new cases are dropping.

My company isn't requiring vaccinations yet, but they're making it difficult for people who aren't. One member of my team is vaccine hesitant and she is thinking she might have to get it for work just because she doesn't want to deal with the restrictions. One such restriction is you can't travel for business if you're unvaxxed, which in some cases makes it hard to do your job. My wife works for a hospital and all hospital employees have until September to get vaxxed or they will be terminated.

We looked into the legality of it months ago, but everyone in our office voluntarily got vaccinated as soon as it was available.

We are pretty much working with a skeleton crew, most did get vaccinated. Having real trouble finding new employees so don't really want to fire anyone for not getting vaccinated. As it is now if someone calls in sick it's horrible.

Same is happening up here. Multiple hospital systems and several SNF/rehab facilities have set a hard deadline for all employees. One of my friends' bosses basically came out and told its employees that if they want to continue to work in healthcare they are going to have to get it, so figure out if this career is for you asap. Love it.
