I think this is right, a return to the world stage economically rather than protectionism driven by populism.

Which is important, because if the disastrous trade policies of the Trump administration had continued we would simply continue to cede ground to China globally.

I think you’re already kind of seeing it with how it already leaked that Warren and Sanders will have zero place in their administration, and even after the progressives publicly whined about it the Biden team hasn’t balked one iota.

Biden is a 90s Democrat, so I’m expecting something more along the lines of Clinton policy. Bill, not Hillary.

I would like to see some more center Republicans added to the discussion, tbh...

as would I.

I want no part of Andrew Yang, or Bernie.

I like Rice, but she's going to get Bhengazi'd

I don't know how much of the above is media speculation, speculation by "informants", and actually informed by conversations had with Biden.

Do those exist anymore?

I hope they’ve hiding under rocks and will be ready to come out of hiding when the coast is clear from a trump attack and backlash for having their own opinion.

Yes, this makes them cowards, but I would like to see the pendulum stop in the middle instead of swinging too far left.

Agree on rice and Bernie... I don’t think yang would have a snowballs chance in he!! of getting his universal basic income anytime soon. We haven’t reached the threshold of automation replacing workers... yet.

I don't think it ever will. This isn't the first time in history workers and economists were in a panic about automation eliminating jobs.

Creative destruction is increasing as industries are more efficiently targeted for disruption, so I can get the anxiety about it. But throughout human history as some jobs are eliminated others take their place.

I do think there is a role here to help ensure that economic opportunity is broad enough for the whole population and not just those who luck into particular skillsets, which is increasingly a problem, but again these are things that throughout history humanity has had an answer for.

We need to stop second guessing ourselves and start betting on ourselves.

Whatever it is will certainly be better than the last 4 years. At least we won't have to listen a Chronic Liar tell more lies every day and brag about how great he is and be a President only for his base.

Biden won't want to destroy NATO or our Allies and won't shake hands with the N. Korean Dictator. If Obama did that he would have been impeached for it

I haven't looked at the list, but in principle I agree that it would be great to have an administration pulling reasonable views from both sides of the aisle. That said, though, there is a fairly significant part of me that wants no part of working with anyone that has continued to show allegiance to the party that has supported and propped up Trump.

I'm hearing speculation that he is considering Randi Weingarten who heads up the American Federation of Teachers for Education Secretary.  While this wouldn't surprise me, as Biden is has always been a huge comrade to the unions, I think it would be a  mistake.

The biggest reason I opposed Biden is because of his historical efforts to increase the size and scope of organized labor.  Teacher's unions are among the worst in my opinion and putting Weingarten in charge would be a clear signal that we are happy with the way our schools run today.

Unfortunately Trump set the bar so low for a replacement for SecEd I’ll take Weingarten.

Say what you want about DeVos but her initiatives around charter schools made her enemy number one of the teacher's unions.  She wasn't going to make much progress as long as they stood in the way.

I will say what I want. She was completely and totally unqualified for the position. The wife of a man who runs a pyramid scheme is not the person you want running education.

Shes a buffoon and the worst SecEd in its history.
