Dak had leverage until Dalton was signed. They have someone of similar performance to Dak, but Dalton is far cheaper. If Dak wants to hold out and/or wants too much money, Dalton can come in and play and possibly take Dak's job. Dak might actually want to sign tag now.

I'm not a Dak fan at all but I think Dak is a slightly above average QB but also is capable of great games and has had great games. With that being said all of that is way better then Daulton they are not even close to similar and Daulton is taking no one's job. Either way who cares it's not our problem. You seem to obsess over other teams QBs for some reason. At least you seem to have moved on from cousins.

Seriously, that offense is scary and Dalton is not terrible. They would still put up a lot of points with Dalton starting at QB and all you'll lose is that stupid little hip dance thing that Dak did last year.

Maybe Daulton isn't terrible but, he didn't do much when his offense was loaded on the Bengals either. That being said if he turns around and goes off with that team they will be in the same situation of having to pay Daulton more then he deserves. This league basically makes so you have to over pay a QB even if they aren't worth it. Gonna have to pay someone sooner or later

The only way our would be to continue drafting QBs, and plug and play.
