I'm done arguing this I hope you're right and I'm wrong, but if I was a betting man I wouldn't bet a carrot on Howie against the combined college scouting fraternity at WR.

Combined College Scouting Fraternity (CCSF): "Whaaaaat, only 4.47? So much for the deep threat!"

Eagles: "That is not how you scout players, you wannabes."

The Vikings had there pick in only 30 secs after Eagles pick. They couldnt have called it in any faster and they were laughing while on TV calling it in.

So I dont think he was going 22 to the Vikings. We will never know but there are analysts now saying only one team had him as a first round talent player pre draft. But we will never know the real truth.

The fact is they took speed over talent at pick 21. Most dont hate the pick of Reagor, they feel Howie failed by taking him at 21 with the options of trading back to take him later in the first/second or if no suitors, taking a player with more talent worth the 21 pick like Murray or Ruiz and trying to trade up in the 2nd to get a Reagor or Mims.  We don't know how it will turn out but right now even the NFL writers and analysts are calling this poor in the spot and rated it a B.

Does Howie know more then every other team? Well past shows no, but we will find out in a few years. Lets hope the majority is wrong.

You're gonna let yourself feel outsmarted by the organization that traded a 1st and a 4th for Sam Bradford?

@Ray75 I went back to the old EMB and looked at the IWTETG section and I think you and I should be pleased with this pick.  I was very high on him before the 4.47 at the combine.  But the more I’ve read, that time seems to have been a function of him trying to add weight for the scouts at the combine.  His subsequent workouts have been better.  He is a highlight reel, albeit against Big 12 defenses, but the same can be said for Lamb.

I am cautiously optimistic.  It’s very difficult to get the cream of the crop at 21 at any position.   Once SF traded a lot of capital to snag Aiyuk, I think it dawned on me that Reagor in the second wasn’t a possibility this draft.

Seems like a good kid. I'm liking the pick more and more. Hope he's tough enough to play in Philly.

Reagor says he ran a 4.2 at his pro day. Rumor Confirmed.

I was just as mad last night. But it's over and we are stuck with this kid. Time to move on. The only consolation I have is that while Dallas is patting themselves on the back with their newest WR they have a sub par QB to throw to him and zero defense.

At least he doesn't have the kind of red flags JJAW had.

JJaw was put in the wrong system. I think you put him on a team that uses more mid, deep routes like Posts, corners, fades, hed have more success.

Howie I think wanted AJ Brown like myself but then the Titans took him 2 picks before and he just took what he felt was the best wr on the boards not thinking of scheme or fit.

Jefferson is variously listed as between 6ft 1.5inches (185cm) and 6-3 (188 on Minnies draft page), Reagor is 5-11, so being charitable we'll say between two and a half and 4 inches. When Reagor had Kenny Hill throwing 67% completion at QB he couldn't break 600 yards.  As for the QB, would you have taken Ruggs ahead of Reagor?  He had the second best QB in football throwing him the football, as well as having Jeudy and Smith alongside him to keep the defense occupied.

I wouldn't mind people arguing this stuff so much if Reagor was consensus top 5 prospect, but he isn't this is literally a signal example of Philly going against the scouting grain on a WR again just like JJAW and yet people on here are like 'this is great' because he's fast, not stopwatch measurable fast, but people watching video fast.

I'm done arguing this I hope you're right and I'm wrong, but if I was a betting man I wouldn't bet a carrot on Howie against the combined college scouting fraternity at WR.

You mean when Reagor was a true freshmen? LOL whatever. He had over a 1000 yards in 2018, first TCU receiver over a 1000 since Doctson.

I wouldn't mind people arguing this stuff if they based it on reality rather then regurgitating what they've heard from the "experts". Oh no he wasn't a consensus top 5 prospect, he'll never be a great NFL player..........hot takes, hot takes everywhere

I can look at the results. Dak gets another receiver that you can pencil in for 1000 yards and Wentz gets a risky boom or bust player. Yes this kid we got can be a huge boom but he has a high risk to bust. Lamb isn't going to bust.

The Cowboys drafted 17th. The Eagles drafted 21st.

Not a big fan of the pick right now. Seamed like a reach. Think I'm more upset Lamb went to the Cowgirls

No one even knows if the eagles liked Lamb. Reports were they liked reagor and juedy.

Really? Thanks I did not know that. 🙄 Have you ever heard of this thing called a trade up?

I had Jefferson, Aiyuk and Reagor equally rated but think Jefferson would have been a safer pick. Less upside, higher floor, more pro ready.

Never thought any of them would last until 53.

I’m just pissed Cowboys took Lamp. Best WR in the draft IMO.

Maybe. They wanted a slot guy and he can play across the formation.

There is a reason he fell.

definitely a possibility since they already have a slot guy in thielen. In replacing the speed they lost with diggs, reagor would have been a better fit for them.

See I read in a few places they want Thielen to play more outside and wanted a slot guy. Who knows.

Tampa Bay needed OT, Broncos needed a WR, Atlanta panicked. Teams don’t tend to trade back when the players they want fall to them. Atlanta didn’t want to miss out on CB and Dallas would have took one if Lamb was gone. Probably would have took at least a 2nd and 3rd to get those teams to move.

Reagor will be very good I hope, and I'd be totally fine with the pick if not for the Cowboys landing Lamb. That hurts, knowing that he was there just 4 picks away and going to our hated rivals. I wish the 49ers had taken him and I'd feel much better about this first round.

Trading up in a draft with the best 2nd and 3rd rounds I’ve ever seen would have been incredibly bad. Especially for a team who had the fewest draft picks in the league over the past 3 years.

I was sitting there going can we give our division title back please? Lol

It might have been worth it to get a game changing #1 WR. Wentz has no one reliable to throw to on the outside. Lamb has virtually no chance to bust. This kid we got is high risk.

Haha, nah, I'll take the playoffs over Lamb. At least they didn't address more glaring needs and maybe Lamb doesn't even have a QB in one year.
