We just drafted the next Tyreek Hill and the majority of Eagles fans are all up in arms.

That's what it looks like.  We need to see Reagor do it on the field first but if he is anything like Tyreek, that's wonderful news.  I've been trying to get Tyreek on my fantasy team for years.

Damn it, we agree on something.

The only WRs I would target projected in the 2nd now are Mims, Higgins, Pittman or Shenault.  I don't see any of them falling to 53, but 1 or 2 may.  Think they go Defense in R2, hopefully S, and then WR/CB/LB in the 3rd.

I doubt we go WR in the 2nd. I really hope Pittman or Shenault fall to the 3rd. I don't see it but anything can happen. Wouldn't mind Van Jefferson either

Right, and let me be clear. I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Tyreek Hill. I'm saying from a style perspective he's like Hill. Short and built like a brick shithouse, but fast as hell. More of a dynamic playmaker than volume ''true number 1 WR.'' Can play everywhere, be used on jet sweeps and screens, difference maker in the return game, etc. The offense desperately needed a guy like this last year. Every Eagles fans in the world said this. Then they take this guy and all of a sudden everyone who ****ed and complained that Justin Jefferson was just a slot guy are acting like he's the far superior draft prospect for the Eagles.

If they do go D, there's potential in R2 for S (McKinney/Delpit/Chinn/Dugger/Winfield/Davis), LB (Baun/Logan Wilson/Uche), and CB (Diggs/Fulton/J Johnson)

I think realistic 3rd round WR are Jefferson, Edwards, Gandy-Golden, Claypool.

Claypool would be amazing

I say they should go S or WR- BPA for round 2.

Jefferson will be a good player.  But not sure he opens up a defense like Reagor or DJ can.  And you have to account for both guys on any given play which puts a lot of pressure on the back seven.  Now we have to see which WR the Eagles draft next because our 'other' guys are going to be singled up now.  It's hard to cover everybody well.

What about EDGE?  Lewis and Weaver make a ton of sense.

I like Jefferson too and think he will be a really good NFL player. Reagor is a MUCH better fit for the Eagles though.

After Lamb got drafted, I wanted Reagor or Aiyuk.  Could they have traded down and still drafted one of the two? Maybe, but I don't know. What I do know is drafting a slot receiver when you run out of 2 TE sets 60% of the time makes no damn sense at all and no one can tell me otherwise. I'd rather have drafted Murray or Queen there than Jefferson.

Happy they drafted a WR but I know nothing about him. Hope he works out and makes this offense more explosive

LOL at calling Reagor Tyreek Hill. Where do you people come up with this stuff?

From a style perspective, body type, etc he has Hill potential. He very well might not become Hill, but my point is we need a guy like this and they take him, and instead most Eagles fans wanted Keenan Allen/Justin Jefferson.

Not only is he blazing fast but he also squats 620 pounds and has a 42inch vertical. Reagor is an athletic monster. Most years, fans would be enamoured with this pick... This year he's garbage. The negative reaction is ridiculous.

I am still bummed Lamb got that close to us and we couldn’t swing a deal.  But I’ve had a night to sleep on it and I am happy with the pick.  We had less homework to do on Reagor than any other prospect given his bloodlines and the tape doesn’t lie about his explosiveness.  I think he got caught up in the "too small” criticisms and just simply added too much weight for the combine.  He may end up a bust, or he might just be the explosive WR we’ve been clamoring for.

Not worried about Reagor. Just hope the drops are a direct result of bad QB play and not the hands...

He had a running back playing QB last season, so there’s that.  But if the kid drops a couple, he will get killed by the fans.  We’ve seen enough drops from our receivers the past two seasons.

i don't hear a negative reaction on Reagor and what he could be, but more where he was picked compared to his predicted value.

Couldn't agree more. Like I said above, 4.47 and 600. That's what people are focussing on and it's silly. Eagles fans are such hypocrites. They ****ed about the emphasis in recent years on production from draft picks, then they complain that Reagor's production last year was poor. Kid is fast, dynamic, explosive leaping ability, built like a brick shithouse, etc. A lot of people are going to look dumb, I was clamoring for him for weeks.

You need to get out more. A ton of people are pissed off they passed on Jefferson for him and think he's nothing more than a gadget player/RS.

Well we can't get out more, lol.

But yes i hear the voices on tv, radio, my tail gate crew etc, and most are saying if we traded back they would have felt the value was right for Reagor in the mid/late first round. I hear more saying they would have rather taken Murray in that spot if they couldn't move out over Jefferson even then get a WR in the 2nd.

You will have different views on Jefferson over Reagor etc, but it came down to value that is making people upset.

A lot of defenders of Roseman and Pederson here for drafting another bust of a receiver. What have they shown in the past that they have any clue on how to draft and develop a receiver to justify all the defenders here?

I respectfully disagree. I think it's a balanced combination of not trading up for Lamb / Dallas getting him, passing on Jefferson, and perceived value. The value argument might be the worst reason to be against the pick.

Pretty sure the Eagles wanted an outside receiver and not another slot like Agholor or Matthews.

This guy has the potential to learn so much from D Jackson.

The kid looks to be as slippery as Christian McCaffrey.

Could be the sleeper pick of the draft.
