2010-2020 Favorite Eagles

With the decade now at an end, I thought it’d be fun to see what everybody’s top 5 Eagles from this past decade would be. There’s been so many talented players that have had big impact on the team in last 10 years. It’d be interesting to see the variety of all the different fan favorites, and which players are top 5 locks across everyone’s rankings. No right or wrong answers here.

I’ll start in no particular order:

Nick Foles: Eagles were Super Bowl champs & Foles is in my view the biggest reason why

Jason Kelce: The parade speech might of cemented him as greatest Eagle of all time.

Fletcher Cox: Best defensive player of the decade

Lesean McCoy: Best offensive player of the decade

Brent Celek: Always loved his hard nosed, team oriented mindset. He was a guy you could just always count on & you could tell genuinely loved Philly.

I left off JP because I feel like last 2-3 years he has tarnished his reputation. Ertz was a really good player & SB hero, but he took a few seasons to really get going. Desean gets left off for joining Washington after getting cut, I don’t blame him for that though. I was huge fans of Trent Cole & Vick, but they didn’t leave that big of an impact on the decade compared to others. Lane, Jenkins, Graham, and Sproles barely missed the cut.

Yea I felt awful leaving off guys like Desean, Avant, Ertz, Jenkins, Sproles, JP, and Graham.

I forgot Asante was on Eagles roster in early 2010s, good call there.

Yea we all complain about lack of talent but we’ve really had some good players. Sucks I had to leave off Cox, Kelce & Graham

Peters is a future HOF

Kelce is a potential HOF and anchored the super bowl team and gave the greatest speech in sports history.

Foles is super bowl MVP and has his jersey in HOF from his 7 td game.

Cox is a boarder line HOF and super bowl winner.

Desean is the leagues all time leader in tds of 60 plus yards, while not all are with the eagles majority are if that's not impact I don't know what is.

Just missed- Brandon Graham. Biggest defensive play by an eagle defender in the modern area and a good career but lots of ups and downs as well.

Well that decade technically ended in 2019, but I still like this game. And not that anyone's performance in 2020 and would justify a placement anyway...

DeSean Jackson, 2017 Wentz, and Foles were the easiest ones for me. Graham would be up there too. I'll go off the beaten path with my last one and say 2017 Clement. Every single play that year for Clement seemed like a net positive, and obviously his SB performance is an all-timer.

In no particular order:

Cole, Avant, Celek, Kelce, Mufasa (Demeco Ryans)

Not a flashy group but a bunch of guys who always gave maximum effort every down they played. That's my favorite type of player

As far as favorite players:

Nick Foles — should be on everyone’s list

Brent Celek — embodiment of a true Eagles player

Jason Kelce — should be a future Hall Of Famer

Brandon Graham — locker room leader and on-field leader

Fletcher Cox — elite player at an important position

Honorable mentions to Wentz, McCoy, Lane
