Did you at least use modified for the stone base?

Yep. Used a plate tamper on it Wednesday when we laid it and got done just before it started storming

Sand works,  I just think grit holds better especially up here.  Polymer joint sealer is definitely the way to go.  You can use it next year when you're refilling the joints.  Also holds against weeds better along with a grit base.

Yea that's kinda what I figured with the polymer, I'll put it in when the sand washes. I want to use it in the existing patio too, the joints in that have been sheet since I moved in.

I have a ton of paver walk ways to reseal at my house.  Gonna be expensive.

Well could you find a way to lessen that reseal there?!

My attempt to fix the bathroom floor.   Since it rained and couldn’t do the beach.  Another job Mr Di never finished.  By not trimming out that bottom piece and caulking the heck out of the tub, yup 10 years of what I thought was the last floor we would need is getting a Ishty patch job.

I bought a house a few years ago, which was a bank-owned purchase, and I'm discovering now that there is some type of mold problem in the basement.  I can smell it.  My plumber smelled it over a year ago when he did some extensive work for me.

There is no water leak or anything like that.  I also don't see any mold, but the basement has a strong musty smell.

How much does mold removal cost?  I am thinking the basement will take some extensive work.  There are some secondary things that will have to be done, like ripping out a disgusting carpet that was torn in some places.  I'm guessing I would need to put in another carpet if I want to use the basement as a spare room.

Seal the walls/floor.

Hope the walls and floors are sealed!

I'm guessing that means that the finished basement will have to be torn up to some degree.  Is that what it would take?

Most likely, yes. At a minimum you'd have to identify the location, extent, and severity of the problem. Then you'll most likely need to access it to treat/seal it depending on how bad it is. A company with a moisture meter might be able to at least locate the problem without any demo, but beyond that you're probably going to have to tear some stuff apart I would think.

Note that all of this is my opinion having never really had to get into mold remediation, just my expectations for what it would entail.

Thanks.  Some of the stuff would have to get torn down/up anyway.  The carpets are trash even if the basement didn't smell bad.  And one of the rooms was put together pretty haphazardly, so that would need fixing anyway.

I can come up a little but need to stick to my budget.

Can anyone tell me how screwed I am that I have 3 walls up in the bathroom before the ceiling?  Can I put the ceiling up next?  Or finish the 4th wall first?

If you're building an outhouse, you're good. Otherwise, wtf & hang your contactor.

I am the contractor.  Not suicidal.  Just trying to finish what mr Di started.  So I f’d up.  How can I fix it?   It’s just a small bathroom.  The structure has a vaulted roof. There’s a loft above so not worried about support just how to join it all together easily.

I see four walls. Put some nailers in-between your studs for the dry wall.

The fireplace project is nearing completion

(Notice the unconnected electric wires coming out of the walls.  When I build the floating shelves I build in outlets flush with the top so you can plug items in)

I thought I posted pictures before, but I added conduit "channels" to run cables to either side.

Edit: Found the pic

Put in the maple luan back and sides for the box (I also added extra backing behind the luan to mount the soundbar)

Still need to add trim, shiplap and build floating shelves.  Tile is being debated.
