Yes, but the people moving into those "red states" are not the kind who typically vote red. Case in point: Texas. TX might be gaining seats, but it's also primed to flip after a few more election cycles.

House is going Republican and it won't even be close. The crazies are taking over soon and for good, it will be like having KZ as speaker of the house

Well based on your past election predictions, it's pretty safe to say the Dems keep the house.

Fetterman is in trouble. I have seen video on Facebook of Fetterman with a gun chasing a black guy. If true he won't get the minority support he needs to win the State.

Looks like Eva Braun's extended family.

But let's get serious ppl.

DUMP KRASSNER!! BEFORE PHILLY GOES THE WAY OF DETROIT - A HELLHOLE THAT LITERALLY LOST TWO-THIRDS OF ITS POPULATION DUE TO CRIME AND CORRUPTION!!

Krasner reelected. The criminal lobby won.

Maybe 4 years from now when the death toll from crime is 1000 a year the citizens will wake up. But I doubt it.

Yeah, and Republicans in the State Legislature just stole power away from the Governor. A disgrace.

Why is it that Dems don't show up in the primary during off years? They want change but don't show up to vote.

It's kind of a disgrace that such an important question could even be put on a primary ballot, and a primary ballot in an off-year election, at that. The Republicans most certainly did this because they know that the turnout in these elections heavily skews in their favor. It's kind of another dirty trick by the party that invented them, but ultimately, it is on the Democrats to get out the vote, which they are perennially terrible at doing.

This state is getting so stupid, though, I really can't stand it. These measures are sacrificing the future of public health and safety for the appeasement of the Republican base. I love PA, but I'm thinking about an exit strategy.

Josh Shapiro gets my vote for PA Governor.

For Senate I like Connor Lamb and/or Madeline Dean. So far.

Fetterman is really interesting.

He's a progressive on policy obviously, but is tonally anti-PC and genuine in a way other candidates are not.

I know there is some handwringing over his Senate run from establishment type Dems who want someone more moderate like Lamb to run for Senate. But I also think Fetterman, for a state like PA, would be more able to command respect of those moderates who can't get down with the radical Republican populism but would buy in to Fetterman's brash approach and look past policy.

Whether we like it or not, the culture war is what elections are won and lost on, not policy. And I like the chances of Fetterman in that kind of a setting more than someone milquetoast in Lamb.

That's kind of what sucks about the whole no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is, populist politician thing.  It really only lends itself to the extremes, because the extremes are more concrete, cut and dry.  The middle is more ambiguous and includes compromise, which doesn't work as well in a sound bite.  It's kind of a sheety conundrum.  I've heard Fetterman interviewed and I like him, but he's way too liberal for me.  Not that I'm voting in PA, but looking at it from a broad view it's unfortunate because people like that could theoretically really help the Democratic Party, but in turn it just draws more people to the far left spectrum.

Right, though I think that's why if capturing Toomey's seat is the most important thing I think Fetterman might be the best shot Dems have. Fetterman's personality is more resistant to the standard lines of attack that can work for Republicans typically.

And Fetterman is also pragmatic where he needs to be. Take how he approaches fracking for example .. in principle he opposes it in some circumstances but would begrudgingly support it in others. Basically, if it's happening in a way that would impact residential areas he's against it, but if the industry plays ball with taxes and environmental regulations then he can support that.

Basically, he's like any other politician: certain policies (LGBTQ, weed legalization) are core to his identity, but he can be pragmatic and compromise in other areas as well. And he's not someone who's necessarily just going to go along with the establishment.

I don't like populism as a rule, but if you're going to do populism at least don't go full '**** like Trump did.

I would love to see Rubio go. Another of Trump's sycophants.

I’m not that optimistic, but we’ll see.

He's an incumbent, which is always tough, but Florida's just flat-out weird.  I'd say they're trending redder, but I also think their brand of red doesn't really favor Rubio.  If any Dem is going to beat him, it's her.

Didn't Florida basically make illegal for black people to vote? Like I said, I'd love to see it, but I doubt it happens.

That should keep Garland occupied for a while.
