hputenis Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 If I had my choice on anything that went on shelves in my house, I'd have to clean out about 20 storage bins filled with Philly sports memorabilia from our garage and attic. Currently, there are lots of fluffy things, feminine decor, an ironic "&" symbol, what looks like to be some anal bead-like decoration with tassles, and after reading this post........my balls in a mason jar above the fireplace. 1

The shelves usualy come with this whole pegboard system. But we got them as is at the outlet, because I'm not paying pottery barn prices on anything (A single shelf is $130, we paid just under $100 for both shelves and the hooks), and they were without the rest of the set so I suggested we go to Lowes and find hooks. It kinda works. This is how it should look

I drove through Centralia PA usually about once a week ( home of the pre lit coal specials )....... I just went through there a few weeks ago..... first time in more than 25 years.. .... no smoke coming out of the ground anywhere I looked. And this time I only counted about 6 or 7 homes that are still there.

Originally I was thinking of going to AC Moore (RIP) and getting one of their peg boards. Problem is, I would have to reinforce every peg with a screw and I didn't know if they were spaced correctly. Since this is on a wall in the kitchen we ended up being happier with the hooks. Cleaner\Less Cluttered. 1

Cleaner\Less Cluttered. It definitely looks good and is more unique than the peg board anyway. I like that it's clean and simple and not cluttered. The peg board could look cluttered if too many things on it. But if you wanted to make it, skip AC Moore (Mama loved that store) or others and just get some wood from Home Depot and some thick dowels. Use wood glue and screws, it should hold.
wholesale_Melvin Posted February 18, 2021 Author Posted February 18, 2021 Something like this (on a smaller scale)? Furring strips, plywood, & 1" rods cut to 1" dowels.
