Grump99
Just thinking out loud here. Now that we drafted Hurts, do you think we would/could trade him? What sort of compensation would he be worth? He just signed a cheap one year deal. We could potentially recoup a draft pick as well as have a young quality backup locked up for the next four years. It would definitely soften the blow of giving up a second rounder.
Aerolithe_Lion
We kept 3 QBs last year, especially with Hurts being a project we could very well do the same

I dont think there is much of a market for him or he would have signed somewhere else to begin with instead of resigning with the Birds for a year. Uscg-green
Nah cause hes gonna draft another QB in the third. Did you hear his press conference? That's the most important position don't you know? To bad he forgot only one can play.

I am not sure he is highly sought after within the league. Just now, Procus said: You need three QB's on the roster. If anything happens to Wentz, we are down to two. Lauletta? Lauletta belongs on the practice squad - if the team decides to keep him.
NYEagle
Some team that is a contender will have their QB injured, Roseman will get 3 first round draft picks for Sudfeld and Hurts will be the #2. Because the Eagles are a QB factory, Sudfeld is the next Montana don't you know!!

birdman#12
It's obvious that the eagles have almost NO confidence in Sudfeld.......by signing McCown last year and drafting Hurts this year. And until they give him some playing time when Wentz gets hurt or late in games, he has zero trade value. So the "QB factory" is not running efficiently......had the eagles let Sudfeld play when Wentz got hurt, he MAY have done enough to raise his trade value.......but now, I doubt he ever plays here even if Wentz and Hurts get injured......they probably go out and sign some vet to play. They can't be a QB factory unless they give a QB some playing time to increase his value......

They keep preaching that they do but that doesn't reflect in their actions. If they did trust Sudfeld then they wouldn't have used a second round pick on Hurts. They didn't think Hurts would be there in 2nd round They prob had a high grade on him, and it was one of those "the value was too high to pass on him" type of deals They brought Sudfeld back with intentions of having him #2, but Hurts was a blessing they couldn't pass up on in the Eagles eyes (not mine)

toolg
Sudfeld is the backup QB. Hurts is developmental but they could script some plays for him. So maybe they dress Hurts as #2 QB. But I feel like Sudfeld gets most of the snaps if Wentz has to miss significant time. 3 hours ago, birdman#12 said: It's obvious that the eagles have almost NO confidence in Sudfeld.......by signing McCown last year and drafting Hurts this year. No. Not even. McCown wasn't signed until Sudfeld broke his arm in preseason last year. Hurts was a surprise pick (The FO didn't expect he'd be there, and nobody thought the Eagles would pick him). But it is true Sudfeld has little trade value until he can prove himself on the field.

I know the fans don't get a say but after this fiasco I'm not sure that'll fly. Can you imagine if Sudfeld had to come in and was limited and we lost a play off game?
