Wondering if any of you degenerates enjoy decent coffee or if you all are Folgers guzzling simpletons. 

The pandemic year has been good for making some delicious coffee at home I will say. 

This afternoon I'm enjoying a blend called Lucky Jawn from Royal Mile Coffee Roasters in Cherry Hill. Very nice if you like the fruity floral Ethiopian coffees.

I used an Aeropress for this one, has been my go to most afternoons, very quick and easy to clean and consistently makes a good cup.

I had some coffee in kentucky last year that had been aged in bourbon barrels. It was good. That's all I got .......

Chickie bought me the medium/donut shop style from Black Rifle...on par with Wawa and/or Dunkin.

Costa Rican coffee is excellent. I drink mine black and love it but it did take a bit of an adjustment period from college years when I’d drink wawa coffee with like 10oz of creamer. 
 

French Press is awesome, love using it with a nutty dark roast. 

I used to get a cup every morning from a shop owned by a localish roaster. When Covid hit, and they were forced to shut down, I started ordering from them online, and having them ship it to the house. Good stuff.  I’ve had them ship in whole beans, and ground it every morning, and it is a little better, but it’s just easier to have them grind it for me before they ship it.

Here in WU, nobody likes any popular, mainstream item. Food, alcohol, movies, music, you name it.

I happily make schmoopie freshly ground coffee in a french press every AM to avoid that money pit

Where’s rizza when you need him? This thread reminds me of his ninja pic Starbucks days with his laptop creeping on every female that would waltz in. 

I just quit caffeine and turned to a 20 min ride of the exercise bike every morning, and I feel like a million bucks

Nice, I like buying from the local mom and pop shops and roasters. Just can't beat freshly roasted and freshly ground coffee. What type of beans do you typically get?

Starbucks is generally not great coffee. I'll drink their cold brew once in a while if I'm out and they're nearby and it's convenient. Or when I'm travelling up in Canada and there is nothing else close.

This is what we need more of. Starbucks best offering is the women that go in the stores really.

Jamaica had the best for me. That said don't buy a bag to bring home, they put dirt in it

Although I have enjoyed the coffee everywhere that I have been.

It did suck ass for about 10 days but now I feel so good I didn’t know a person could feel this good 

Another factor I think is I brought my sodium down to about 1000 mg per day

At my local Giant they are pushing it hard and I got one for 5 grocery dollars (which I could have used to save 3/4 of a cent at the pump) today out of sheer curiosity.

My go to is a 2.5 lb bag of their organic French Roast, but I'm just finishing off a batch from a microlot of Erlita Baca, which was pretty good.  I prefer a dark roast with Chocolate, caramel, molasses or smoky tones over more citrus or fruity ones.

Id try it just for the hell of it, with pretty low expectations. I'll probably pick one up soon. I'm not much of a consistent soda drinker in general though so would really be like a one off purchase for me. 

 

I will say there are some great canned coffees out there, especially like the nitro brew ones. And of course La Colombe's draft latte cans are pretty delicious.
