Looking online, sounds like you just grind up some whole beans coarsely, then let them steep overnight right? That makes a concentrate - then you filter it, and add hot water to the concentrate to taste? Yeah that's pretty much it, its quite simple. I've always used one of these cold brew filter pitcher things but yeah you should be able to just steep them in water for 12-24 hours and then filter it. I guess filtering it could be a pain depending on how you do it. Cold brewing uses an ish ton of beans it seems like compared to other hot brewing methods fyi. Which makes sense since you're making a concentrate. First time I made it I was like holy F this is a lot of beans.

March 3, 20215 yr I drink coffee everyday. I don't get fancy with the brand, you can get decent coffee at a reasonable price. Usually I have Eight O'Clock, New England's Breakfast Blend, or sometimes another 1/2 way decent one that is on sale. NEVER Folgers or Maxwell House, it's like drinking dirt. Zero sugar creamer too I'm never without. Hazelnut mostly. I am a pumpkin spice freak for as long as it's out and available. They really need to come out with more zero sugar flavored creamers. On my budget, that's where it's at!! I do enjoy a flavored tea once in a great while, just not regularly.

Update on this - turned out pretty well, though I didn't end up with as much concentrate as I thought. Flavor was good though, and noticeably less bitter. Next time I think I'll let it steep for 24 hours instead of just 12 though.

They don't have a grinder so she brings it in and I grind it for her, and I usually keep enough to make a small batch of it.

One of their shops was right down the street from my kids school, but, thanks to Covid, is now permanently closed. They've got another shop in downtown Greensboro but, unfortunately, it's not very convenient for me. I'll admit it, I used to be a Starbucks guy, but was always looking for somewhere better. The shop near my kids school opened up in an old Starbucks, and it was way better. Funny thing was, once I started getting my daily cup there instead of a Starbucks, I started seeing more and more people that I used to see in Starbucks, shopping there instead. My order arrived today, just brewed a cup of the Nicaragua Selva **** Estate. Very nice coffee, clean taste, like it a lot. Excited to try the Erlita Baca Arce too. I think I'll make my way through all their offerings.

Part of my work is in logistics and I can tell you there are many disrupted supply chains in North America right now and some crazy raw material pricing. A lot had to do with Texas storms but seems like demand is crazy as well. One guy told me last week that for every one available truck right now in the US, there are 45 loads that need to be covered.

Wifey and I did a final 2020 Costco run in early November to stock up on everything so we could hunker down during the COVID spike. It was epic. Dropped over a G and did more than one trip inside. One thing we got was six 2.5 lbs bags of starbucks coffee beans on sale. We have two left. So I'll happily sell you one of them at a 10% mark up of the regular price.

May 17, 20214 yr Author Haven't tried their coffee. But I feel like if your sales pitch is to attach some political stance to your brand, it's because your product is sub par usually.
