Posted March 19, 20214 yr I would say this is a solid signing by the Eagles. Had a pretty good 2019 with 6 INTs. Last year had over 100 tackles. I don't mind the signing since he is 29 on a one year deal.
March 19, 20214 yr I like the move. Kind of the moves we can expect to see right now. They might scrape the bottoms near the start of the season and pick up a vet or two like they got Blount.
March 20, 20214 yr Makes no sense in a rebuild year really. Hes a fine player just dont see the need for him on a 1 year deal with this team.

I see your angle. if the Eagles draft a safety (which they should), it would been beneficial for a Vet like Harris to help mentor these young guys. Yes, we have McLeod but another Vet on 1 year deal has more pros than cons.

Either way, it's a solid signing especially if the team doesn't feel that K'Von Wallace is quite ready to start yet. McLeod and Harris is a decent starting duo while the team looks to further develop Wallace and hopefully another safety prospect drafted between rounds 2-4.

Changes happen every year regardless. People are acting like 2021 is a "throw away" year because everything will be all better in the future if we just get younger. We are actually very much in the running for the NFC East, just like usual. If the new coaching staff is better at preparing this team for games and/or we manage to avoid catastrophic amounts of injuries, people will see that this team is still capable of beating good teams. We don't have to lose to get better. We just have to start winning again.
March 20, 20214 yr Nice player but what’s the point...1 year deal. I’d rather carry the cap space over to next year and let one of the younger safeties get some playing time.

If he plays well here in 2021, there’s a chance we’d be able to sign him to a longer deal next year when the cap will be up and we’ll be in a much better position to offer him more. He could be our next Malcolm Jenkins and hold down one S spot for the next 3 years.
March 20, 20214 yr The moves they have made does not look like rebuilding at all. They have questions.
