Played well enough in limited action with the Jets last year. Affordable and a local guy. Edit: Mods - if this fits better folded into the larger free agency thread have at it, but all things considered I thought this might work as a stand alone. Honetly, when it's said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if Mond turns out to be the best QB in this year's draft, he kinda reminds me of Joe Montana.....dude has something. I’d prefer someone who is a good mentor and good locker room presence. I don’t know if Flacco is that. To me the immediate focus is all about getting the young players as ready as possible which includes a young QB we likely draft and groom to eventually be a long term backup. I don't like the idea of paying a guy to "be nice" or to "have ideas for the offense" (I mean, wtf?) I want players that can play. And Flacco sucks.
