March 23, 20214 yr Could be they're looking for someone who can fit this offense. The pre-Jackson offense does kinda remind me of Indy: run the ball to setup the pass.
March 23, 20214 yr I wouldn't mind this at all if the price is right. Every young QB can benefit from a veteran.

March 23, 20214 yr People have some high expectations for a backup qb apparently if they hate this so much.
March 23, 20214 yr Please, no big salary for a backup QB rental. We are a super longshot to be a real contender this year. So, don't throw precious cap space on a high priced vet who is going to sit on the bench.
March 23, 20214 yr Flacco? No thank you. Look I'm sure he's still capable of playing at a pretty good level but we should not be investing much in the back up QB position this year. Its a waste of cap.
March 23, 20214 yr If you've got to have an experienced back up (and I do think that's a question) Flacco is probably better than the slew of never were's that are still available this year. If you're not taking Flacco then you've probably got as much chance of winning games with a mid round draft pick as back up as people like Colt McCoy, Matt Barkley and Blaine Gabbert.

March 23, 20214 yr Local guy who could come in and win a game or two if needed. I don’t mind it if they do it.

March 23, 20214 yr On Moving the Chains Jim & Pat are saying 3.5m with up to an additional 4.5m in incentives. They like the signing, assuming the Eagles were honest with Joe not competing for the starting job.
