"The Supreme Court issued the latest rejection of an election fraud challenge in under 10 words, denying three cases filed by pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell and others Monday morning."

Release the Kraken!!!

Congress is the govt body who would authorize any spending (particularly for social programs) so the WH moving on reparations without Congress doesn’t mean much to me.

Good luck with that

So it means nothing that the supposedly "moderate" leader of the party is pushing hard for this "study?" So you think the ever-growing progressive, young branch of the party is going to pump the brakes at some point? lol

Reparations have been used to try to right wrongs before.  Did you know Reagan signed a reparations bill??

No. I'm glad that you're no longer denying they're coming, but pivoting toward defense of them. That's really what this thread is about.

Yup. Also, Hunter Biden owned a laptop, which obviously means Joe Biden has no shot at winning the election in 2020.

The corpse of the $15 minimum wage ammendment isn't even cold yet and you're posting this. Why is it you're always 5 steps behind everyone else?

Nope, I'm a step ahead as usual. Over the next four years you're going to hear quite a bit about reparations in both the news media and from mainstream, prominent dem politicians pushing the idea. I'll bump this thread to remind you occasionally.

Yeah he did.  Quite a limited payback though both in terms of eligibility and amount.  A bit different then the things we've been discussing the last decade or so.  However, a reparations bill in any case, yes.

Right.  But if you look at the Axios article pallidrone posted above, Cedric Richmond isn't talking about direct checks at all.  As opposed to what Reagan signed.

I haven't read that article yet but I will.  At this point, I'm open to hear ideas but so far I haven't heard anything that made sense practically once you look at details.

The article that pallidrone posted is like 2 paragraphs long.  But one example given is free tuition at historically black colleges.

Ok, I read it.  Yeah, not much in the way of real ideas but rather the idea of putting together a commission.

The black college free tuition idea is interesting of course though even that will be put to the test as we hit the details.

I’d guess that free tuition at historically black colleges would lead to increased enrollment... it’s an interesting discussion for sure.
