Great movie. When I was 18 and had just graduated from high school, I got a job at a theater as an usher. It was the summer of '87 and that's when this movie came out. So I got paid to watch that movie over and over and over lol. My fellow ushers and I got to know the dialog so well that we could recite it back and forth. It was that way with a lot of movies that came out that summer/fall. Best (most fun) job I ever had... and for a whole $3.35/hour!

Great movie.  My movie I can recite word for word is Tombstone.

One year ago today, die hard Eagles poster  @VaBeach_Eagle  and friends stood up this new board when the old board closed abruptly.  Tip of the hat to you all because the transition has been seamless and we get to talk the same dumb sheet to the same dopes we've been arguing with for years - decades, in some of our cases.  Stuck inside during the pandemic this board became a fun part of my daily digital rotation, and many of yours, too.

Thanks to all and cheers to another good year on the NEW EMB.

Great job guys!

Ha, that’s awesome!  It truly is a very quotable movie.  I’ve rewatched it with the kids recently, and feel that it still holds up pretty well.  Oh, and back on topic, great job with the new board - thanks again, one year later!

Not often that the replacement is better than the original.  Thanks @VaBeach_Eagle you really knocked it out of the park.

Long time since I posted. But I want to give recognition and thank @VaBeach_Eagle for all his efforts last year and up to this point.

I'm still bitter with the way the Eagles organization handled things last year.

amazing. Time flies.

Don't I wish lol. Like all boys who were growing up in the 80's, I thought that Phoebe Cates was the hottest girl on the planet.

lol I've been very impressed with everyone that has sent monetary support. For those that can't or even just don't want to, they can help a lot by just using our affiliate links when they make purchases on Amazon or Fanatics. Those two methods have the potential to give us all the support we need.

This might be a good time to remind us how we can provide that support.  Most of us are happy to contribute.

There's a pinned thread here in TATE with various links, like for Amazon and Fanatics. If you're going to purchase something on Amazon, just click that link first. It'll take you to Amazon under our affiliate code. Then, any Amazon purchases that you make within the next 24 hours will earn the board a small commission. They're not huge amounts per sale. But if everyone uses it  throughout the year, they all add up and can earn enough to pay all of the bills. If not all of them, then a very nice portion of them. Added to the various other earnings that the board is bringing in, they can really keep us going without the need of anyone digging into their pockets, which is what I'd really prefer. If we can make the board pay for itself just by being online and available, I think that would be an awesome thing!

Here's the link that I mentioned:
