This is, roughly, the state the firebox\fireplace is in:

The goal today:

1) Finish framing the TV enclosure.

2) Run electric  (The plan is to have two floating shelves on each side each with a built in outlet plus one outlet on each side above the base cabnets)

3) Run cable

4) Inside the frame of the TV enclosure I am running conduit to create "channels" to run HDMI cables from the TV to either side of the fireplace.

5) Close everything up with cement board so I can install the base cabinets, put up shiplap and build the floating shelves.

Lofty but doable.  Needs to get done because my knee stalled me last week

Running conduit may now be my second most hated job after doing drywall.  Its tedious, difficult to work with in a small enclosure and f it, I REALLY don't need to be doing this s***.

But truth?  Every single one of you to a man, if given the choice between two equal houses, one of them has pre installed pipe for you to run your various TV cables and not need to drill through a wall.... yeah... You are buying my house.

That's right.  From here on out, run an electrical fish line and you can easily run whatever cable you want to and from the tv.  You're welcome future not me.

I won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow.

Tried.  He's buried in my back yard now.

Opened my pool last weekend. Had quite a few good days of swimming already, glad we did it early (first year owning a home with my own pool).

Tomorrow is the first day of spring gobbler hope to call one in for my s.i.l.

I hear that. Luckily I hardly have to deal with it on my property. I would go up and do work for my aunt sometimes, though, and she has it all over. I had a couple nasty experiences  before I wised up and bought gardening sleeves. It still seems to find a way in lots of times, but I've been able to mostly keep any outbreaks localized and to a minimum.

Last week i was ripping out thorn bushes. The next day I was covered in it from head to toe in it. Thats how I found out we have it. Upon cloeer inspection, its creeping up in our yard. I need to curb that because its near a favorite spot for our one dog

Beautiful, sunny day here in Delaware. Currently sitting on my back deck, reading, and sipping on a vodka/diet pepsi.

With my napping puppy.

Mission accomplished.  Got in 10 miles of hiking afterwards trying to find one for me. I'll hit er again Monday.

Thought of you on my walk this morning, Paco. A little backstory: I used to notice a large sumac at this spot when I'd walk by last year. It was always kind of unnerving. So, this morning when I walked by, I noticed a new sprout in the same spot. I actually stopped and thought, "I'm gonna go back and look more closely. I bet you can really see the oil," since the saplings have a particularly heavy coating. Sure enough, just look at that fresh urushiol glistening in the morning sun. Doesn't it just make your skin crawl (or itch)? :angel

Got the vegetable garden tilled and planted.  So I got that going for me.  Which is nice.
