I think we might have won the draft. Visionary stuff, might be Mr. Rosemans masterpiece. Really happy we got who we got. Reagor and Hurts are great, and I have a good feeling about Taylor and Watkins. We did add Slay in a way too, so.. the other 6 picks are added bonus.

Dallas and Balt won this draft ON PAPER, plain and simple. they did a great job adding best talent.

I think this is a major reach for change which could either make this team thrive or take us to the basement. But in no way we won the draft just on paper. On paper we prob had one of the worst drafts. But thats on paper. Takes actual games to make that final decision.

We just added Reagor, Goodwin, Hightower, and Quez. Lots of speed. Carson looks awesome when the field is stretched.

my only concern is he needs time to have the field stretch, and while we've been spoiled these past few years with a decent line, those guys are getting old. I'm hoping the OT pick pans out. But it's hard to expect much from a 6th rounder and one UDFA signing

Every writer, etc will have diff views for sure. View can be based on like of the team, what they feel is more important. Pure speed, Eagles yes, lol. I go by talent. Now to be safe you have to fall back on what the overall  NFL analyst views are which they viewed Dallas and Balt which I would agree with.

Again though this is on paper. the real view will be after 2 or 3 seasons but will have a decent view after season 1.

Speed means nothing to me. I’m don’t know why people think speed equates to something. You know who has speed? Tavon Austin and John Ross. Larry Fitzgerald is slow as a snail but a future hof.

DJ who worked for Howie.  He's ultra political and knows to say nice things to keep his access and job possibilities open.  Same thing with Louis but he more adeptly sidestepped the question rather than blow smoke

Agree with The Athletic writers take from last night. They said the biggest issue with this draft is the Eagles didn't get a lot of "probable starter talent" short term or long term. The only "probable" starter out of this draft for 2020 is Reagor, and depending on how the offseason programs go with the quarantining, he may not even be a week 1 starter. Long term Reagor and Wallace they pegged as the only long term probable starters out of this class and I agree.

Compared to Dallas(since this is who we have battled for the division of late) they got Lamb, Diggs, Gallimore, Robinson, and Biadasz. 1-2 probable short term starters and 3-5 long term probable starters.

How many rookies do you really want out there starting though? That's a red flag to me if you're so desperate that you have to get a ton of rookies out there on the field to fill holes.

Depends on where you are as a franchise. Where the Eagles are right now, I'd be fine with it, since they're retooling. There's the yin and the yang of it. It might suggest your veteran talent is lacking, but also if they're promising enough as rookies to start that could also mean you got a damn good player who will be with your team for a long time.

I hear you. But looking at how successful teams like NE have been I don't think Belicheat rolls with a bunch of rooks. Going to be interesting to see what he does without Brady but when you have your franchise QB in place doesn't seem like the MO is to rock with rooks.

I've seen a surprising amount of draft grades that favored the eagles draft. Other then round 2 I thought it was a good draft based on the fact that they took guys with a high athletic upside which is what they said they would do and many of us wanted. May not be the players we wanted but still guys with good athleticism.

I was so happy when we beat fall Dallas in week 16.  Little did I know that win would royalty screw us in this draft.

Not sure how the later rounds can makeup for a backup QB selected in the 2nd round though

Me either. I don't really take then seriously.

Howie’s Mom.

How some of you follow this team and don't understand the logic of the Hurts pick is beyond me.

Some of their probable starters comes from the issues they have at those positions:

  1. I will give you Lamb.
  2. Diggs - he has only played corner for a couple years and is pretty raw.  They lost Jones and don't have the Eagles' depth.  He would be trying to be CB4 on the Eagles short-term.
  3. Gallimore -  Their DT depth is bad.  He would be fighting for DT 4 on the Eagles.  Would he even beat out Ridgeway?  Dunno.
  4. Robinson - See above, CB5?
  5. Biadasz -  They lost Fredricks and are desperate.  He has major injury issues and didn't look at all last year or even year before versus what he did in 2017.  He would be riding the pine short-term with the Eagles.  Is he a long-term probable?  Not if he looks like he did in 2019 in college.  He has major hip and shoulder flexibility and power issues to overcome.

I've defended Howie but this years draft is indefensible. Problem is if Andy, Doug and Lurie were all on board with these moves then I don't know if you can blame just Howie. Too many clowns in the entire organization. If this blows up in their face they all should be gone, any chance Lurie fires himself?

Well you analyze how the Dallas picks are not that great....well they also picked Jaylon Smith and he more than likely would be best defender on the Eagles, and we got Sidney....With Dallas's talent and new coaching they are MUCH better suited for the future than our "old" team, and we are going into the season with a completely unproven, questionable Left Tackle...Look out Carson!!!
